This was suggested about a year ago by someone who wanted a place to drop hot stock tips. If this becomes that type of forum, it'll be gone faster than you can say "InTheNet".

Invest in meth labs.
I do live in Detroit. hmm...they have to offer a better return than my 401k. I'll see if my accountant knows how to launder money. This may be a real possibility.

Thems fightin words obie!It wasn't even an insult. I suppose I could've said "faster than you could say Chicago1871" but you can say "InTheNet" a lot faster than that.

So is this where you discuss economic aspects of politics, or does that stay in the main forum?

I say any topic or post that mentions a politician should be in the politics forum. The second you bring up a name, the threadgoes downhill instantly with personal attacks...
Hopefully the mods will enforce this, or something like it

Anything generally economic will fit here nicely.

Anything generally economic will fit here nicely.Just to play devil's advocate...
1) The Ikea thread currently in the Politics forum: It's about goings-on at a very large multinational. Furthermore, it's about environmental changes that affect its customer-facing literature and quite possibly its international footprint.
However, the environmental changes at question are of a political nature. Most are. Those environmental changes could also have an effect on other multinationals. Politics or Economics?
2) Obviously a thread on the merits of ANWR oil-prospecting belongs in Politics. How about one on the merits of opening the stockpiled reserves though? Huge impact on the domestic economy. However, it's also a Bush v. Boxer debate.
Just a couple of things to think about...
Big thanks to the folks who got this forum going :)
