I hold:
CSLA
HSLA
Tops Sports Coach
FA Football Coaching Level 1
(Unless your English, your unlikely to have heard of the top 3 as they are coaching awards at college)
Not bad for an 18 year old.

might sound good but I know guys with better creditials than me and I would never let my kid play for them. All the awards and license's in the world don;t guarrentee a good coach

I don't have any "Awards" and I've coached kids for years as well as a couple of adult clubs as player coach. My U14's last year went unbeaten.
Don't let awards go to your head. It's just fun.

Coaching licenses are considered rewards? There things you get over time that help prove you are serious about the game. If you have no name in coaching as in people don't know you. It can be difficult getting a coaching job without a record of doing well, no matter what licences you have. People might know you as a very good player that can help.
Plus getting a coaching job where they pay you could mean that you still need to hold down another job in order to live well.
Some considered championships their teams won as awards for the coach.
Or your players schorships to soccer colleges or getting a player to the MLS as a coaching award for them.
Most coaches think award is watch a former player at a high level make a beautiful cross. Then say to some stranger sitting next to them "I taught him how to do that beautiful cross." :-) Then you laugh and say it took him two years to get it.

This would be I coach's REward, for his hard work (I think I know that player:))
And an Award is a piece of paper or trophy you get for learning or winning something, like a BA degree.
You are correct when you say that it's hard to get a job coaching or anything these days, unless you do have those pieces of paper to back you up.
