Liverpool players will have a one week break before returning to Premiership action against Blackburn. With Blackburn playing in the F.A. Cup this weekend we have another fabulous chance to close the gap on Everton. Viewers in the U.S will be able to watch the action LIVE on FSC at 3 PM ET.

I agree with the lineup. We need 6 points in the next two games to get back in the race for 4th. If we manage that, the gap will be 2 points and set up a great race to the final game.

I respectfuly diagree with this line-up!Biscan has been playing much better than DiDi over the last couple of games hes played!I think biscan should be given a chance to show his worth.Warnock played real well, but im sure Traore will get the spot.

Cisse's injury was a freak thing. No payback needed. We do however need the three points.

We really need the same Liverpool spirit for this match as we got for the CL match.
We can't afford to lose concentration and points on this. If we do then we'l just HAVE to win the CL...!

If we dominate (and I mean dominate) this game like we should, then we will have superior confidence over Everton, who will not have played a premiership game since they lost to Blackburn.

True. And they already did us a favor by beating the Bitters last weekend.

For those of you who are NYC-based:

Next week's my Spring Break, and I'll be at Nevada Smith's for this one.

The more the merrier.

There's always Lucas Neill. He's not been paid back for his leg breaking tackle on Jamie.

In this case, three points would be adequate payback.....

I saw Blackburn play against Leicster, and they didn't look in top form. Dickov won the game on a penalty in the 83rd. But Blackburn didn't look like they could two passes together. The point being, if they play remotely like they did today, it should be three points in the bag.

Dist, I agree. They were fairly well organized at the back, although Leicester isn't exactly Barca, but are dire going forward. I expect to see a 4-5-1 from them and it'll be down to us to break it down. These are 3 absolutely necessary points.

I can see a 2-0 win, the boys will be full of confidence after the Leverkusen game so bring it on. 3 points then derby win, back to 2 point difference, $th spot here we come

Doesn't this thread need an "R."Or are we planning on creating another one? Which I doubt.

i saw the game where Cisse's leg went snappo, and i thought the challenge was ill-timed. certainly not deliberate, but a rookie error and a costly one. i know that arbiters are not supposed to judge fouls based on the extent of the injury but on the negligence of the play. i thought that the tackle deserved more than was given.

cisse would be a better judge.

as far as payback is concerned, i hope that Liverpool takes the battle to Rovers, hammer and tong!

I think it is going to be a very physical game. It wouldn't surprise me if someone gets sent off. I just wonder if we can keep a clean sheet. 2-0 Pool.
