Hmm. Southampton suck, but we can't score these days. Let's play a fairly strong side, but shake up the team a bit. How about
---Rooney--Smith---
Rossi---Scholes--Ronaldo-
------------------------
---------Keane---------
Heinze-Rio-O'Shea---Spector
-------Howard----------
Features attacking play, rewards Rossi for his progress while resting the recently off-form Giggs. Brown isn't a right back, and Neville is hurt, so we give our right back of the future a chance.
Thoughts?

I like the line-up for the most part... though I'd like Ruud to play... he's had a long time off and he does not need any rest just yet... let him find his form first...

Will Kleberson be fit? if so we should stick him or atleast put him on the bench.

Thanks for starting this, Achtung. :) Definitely need something to look forward to. IIRC a Utd win means the Chelsea match on April 16th is postponed.

Fooking Dish Network is useless for another year.
Man, they suck sometimes.
Here's what their table says:
6th Round: TBD vs TBD
Showing
Live 3/12 12:00 PM
Encore 1
Encore 2
Encore 3
6th Round: TBD vs TBD
Showing
Live 3/13 11:00 AM

So whatever game is being played live at noon ET is going to be shown on Dish I guess.

Well?
that's a question you could have asked for the last 2 years and not have gotten a straight answer... not from us, from Fergie or the trainers...

Here's the team I want to see, assuming Gary is still out:
Howard
Brown (if Gary is ready then move Brown to CB and bench Silvestre)
Rio
Silvestre
O'Shea (Heinze needs a rest)
Scholes
Keane
Kleberson (if fit, if not then Fortune)
Ronaldo
Ruud
Rooney

...or Kleberson himself. Thought I saw an article last week in which Fergie said he was back training with the club after his surgery in Brazil. Since Fletcher's still injured maybe he'll make the bench :)

He should be in the line-up... I heard those rumblings too... its just that you never know with him...
Soton would be a great team for him to play against fresh off an injury (the only games he plays are fresh off an injury it would appear) they aren't the most physical so he won't have that to worry about and they don't hold possesion against us all that well...
However.. as a whole we must not underestimate them... Crouch is scoring at will and Camara is very very fast... he will embarras Silvestre at least once in this game, guaranteed.
We've got to watchout for the long balls and counter attacks from this team... but their midfield as a unit underperforms consistently.

I really like Camara. He didn't do much in Scotland but he has been playing very well for Soton. He and Crouch can be dangerous.
I really want us to smash a team. We haven't been scoring lately and our form has dipped a little. We need to take this game seriously and demolish them.
Oh and I hope Kleberson sees the field, and not just from his TV at home.
