Nice to see all the EJ articles today -- does Johnson have his own PR rep, I wonder?

BTW, that Miami Herald article went out on the wires. It's all over the place.

best line i have read in awhile from the above story...

No one — repeat, no one — can pee in your ear and tell you it's raining quite like the troops at Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment.

LOL. That image is hilarious. :p

Anyone notice this?

Gone, too, is midfielder Alonso Sandoval, who club officials say left over the weekend for Mexico and never came back.

Players are literally walking away from Chivas USA. This is getting strange. How many players just disappear?

Chicas! This will fuel many a stadium chant. Good job Sachin but the question is was it intentional?

This sucks if Chivas doesn't take off correctly guys. I would rather it survive than die and the way these Mexicans are treating the team and MLS is pure contempt. I wonder what the hell is wrong with them and why they show no fight? Is it homesickness? Is it the fact that they are not hounded by reporters 24/7 like they are in Mexico? Is Rongen hitting on the latins? I mean seriously! What is going on with Chivas?!?!

He did it twice.

Actually, three times:

You make a good point. I've felt a certain amount of glee with the hard time Chicas is having (boy, it's so easy to type "chicas":)). But we *don't* want to see either of the new teams having severe problems.

On the plus side of things, the San Diego article indicated that the team is starting to play better. And decent play will always help.

When I heard Hoover HS was gonna host the match I was really concerned that the field is so narrow. Glad to see that they are gonna do everything they can to widen it.

While this is amusing, is this "Chicas" stuff really necessary in the news thread? Sorry to be a wet blanket. But considering we have a new owner that has invested in our league and is going to help the expansion of our sport in our country, can't we show a little respect to all the new MLS fans and not live down to what they might expect?Leave this stuff to the rivalry forum.
