It's not this year's away jersey. I've not seen it before, or if I have, I've forgotten.

Oh yeah... I don't know why I thought it was something else.

Man, tomorrow cannot get here soon enough.

So you all know the 2005 Home Replica Jerseys are now available through mlsgear?
No stars at all. Not a one. Now, am I insane or is this strange? The training and Away jerseys offer 3 stars, and the home jersey none?
Hmmm...anyhow.

However, having three stars on our brand new away jerseys is just wrong:

But, since we wore two-star away jerseys for a season or two after the third championship, this isn't too much of a surprise.

That's the way the replicas were last year.Perhaps there are enough reminders at RFK that we're MLS badasses and we win alot of Cups, so we don't need the stars at home ..... when we travel, it's always nice to remind the other team every time they look at one of our players  While they are admiring the stars, our guy blows by and sends in a cross :D

Didn't someone mention that the jerseys will always stay with 3 stars in accordance with the D.C. flag???

If not, Id like to see one star represent 5 championships, otherwise, the way DC is going, soon enough we arnt gonna have enough room for stars on the jersey ;) , plus, older jerseys with less stars wont look as outdated after a championship season.

Somebody did mention it......but that doesn't make it correct.

If the stars represented the DC flag, then every jersey would have had them for the last 10 years.

I think the maximum # of stars above the logo is going to be 5 after that, they'll need to come up with a conversion to nickles and dimes. :D

Who cares about the DC flag? It's had nothing to do with the team yet, and United certainly isn't going to go against soccer tradition to change the meaning of the stars to represent it now.

There will be jerseys that United wears this season with four stars. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that they will be available in the near future.

I don't know. When you look at the UVA and Indiana men's college soccer jerseys, they have more than five stars encircling the logo and it looks really good.

We are getting a little ahead of ourselves though. No team has five stars and the argument shouldn't come up until someone does.

This stars fetish is getting a bit crazy. If DC starts winning championships left and right, no supplier is going to be able to keep up with new kits.

That's the idea.
