Tailgate starts EARLY tomorrow - as in, yes, there will be people there by noon!
And there will be a television to watch the Chivas-DC match.

BTW - Panama Jack is a liar. Use his "sunscreen" only if you wish to be a lobster.
And sorry we didn't get to watch the CDC-DCU match, since the game got bumped from ABC to ESPN due to totally foreseen circumstances. The satellite should be fully operational by next tailgate, though.

Damn, that is cool. Do you need donations for the Direct Kick package? We could at least watch the early (espn2) and late (West Coast) games.

Since the only game we are ensured of seeing is the early ESPN2 game, it probably doesn't make sense to buy the DK package. Best bet is to get the cheapest package that gets ESPN2. Heck, we don't even need the locals.

What do you mean? Odds are that there will be a 9:00 or a 10:00 game almost every week. And don't forget MLS Wrap.
Frankly, I assumed that this was going to be Mud's system so they will have paid for espn2 and FSC already - I just didn't want them to have to shill out for the DK package all by themselves.

we're adding the receiver to an existing account, and i believe the plan is only for the ESPN2 games. i'll look deeper into it, though.

If you have the capabilities, I think it would be worth it to see if you can get donations for the DK package. And if it isn't too expensive, get whatever it takes to get FSC so we can watch MLS Wrap.
That would be very cool.

Well, the plan is to add the receiver to my account. I don't really need any donations for the Direct Kick package, since I'm subscribing to it anyways. About the only additional cost is the $5 a month for the added receiver and the one-time $20 activation fee.
Jonno handed off his old DirecTV receiver to me and I've got an extra dish in the garage that I'll be rigging up a platform for, so we should be set for the next tailgate.

Bump for Saturday and Wednesday. People will be there early - some as early possibly as noon, definitely by 2:30 or 3:00 - for Saturday.

Myself and part of my entourage will be there way early on Wednesday, too. Have to make up for previous tailgating missed and the end of that tailgate, as we'll be heading to the stadium early for touring, dinner, autographs, and pictures.

BTW, any chance of the Dish making this game? That LA-SJ game would be interesting to watch....
