Hooligans? LOL, not quite, what a terrible thing to do leaving that oversized soccerball out there for he and his family to see though! AAAAAAAAAAH! A s-s-s-s-s-SOCCER BALL!!! (shivers) Though the message could have been left out, the whole declaring war thing, but soccer balls on his lawn... funny!

I like the part where the Senator tells the newspaper that he didn't report it to the police nor took any pictures of the incident. The Paper said it was cleaned by the time they got there. It appears we have only the Senator's word that this even happened.

Those SLC thugs are hard-core. Declaring war with sidewalk chalk is terrible. That takes at least a bucket of water to get off. :D

That is for when the Senator suggests MLS goes pro/rel.

I think the whole vandalism thing is pretty funny, if somewhat out of line. I'm still wondering what a Senator living in Provo (45 miles south of Salt Lake) is so concerned about with a city building a soccer stadium. I feel it means one of two things:
1. He is over concerned with MLS expansion, heard something about derbies, and figured Provo was in the next line of expansion, or

2. He is taking the heat as a return favor for some state senator if Salt Lake or Murray, who wanted this passed but was worried about making bad blood with city officals.

My two thoughts.

Beware Mormon hooligans! I hear if Cletus blows a game they'll throw those itty bitty hand-out bibles at him after the game. :D

The senator surely knows that the RSL hooligans mean business.

After all, he doesn't want them to escalate to TPing his trees.

No, no, no!

Not that I condone vandalism

Rock salt is destructive, you want creative.

Apply lawn fertilizer in the shape of a soccer ball. That way, the grass stays much, much greener!

He's just a pompous windbag who craves power and couldn't think of anything substantial this legislative session so he had to go and create his own controversy to get in the papers.
