With any luck this will be a close game. I'd like a 1 goal win.

BIG matchup for Mongrel FC against the division IV demotee. I'm in first with all possible points, he's in 2nd and undefeated but had a tie last week. MOTS time baby. All the cards are down. Going 3-4-3 with 2 CDs (1 to wing) at home to take advantage of midfield and put more than he does in the back of the net... both of us are PM trainers... he's likely to put out a 3-5-2.
I've got the top two leading scorers.
If I can win this one, it puts me 5 pts clear of him and a nice cushion if needed.
What have you got going on?

Expecting to blow out the #7 team in the league. He won a a few weeks ago against #8, so hopefully his fans aren't too pissed off and they come to my stadium. :p

Should be a slugfest....

I'm on the road against #4 (last year's #4 as well). It is a key match for me because after this I will have the toughest part of my schedule. I will face the DIV demotee and last season's #2 twice apiece.
A win here is a must, because 4 straight losses afterwards is possible.

Up 1-0 in the 14th. Trying to stay calm, there's still about 75 minutes left in the game.

I should win this away match, unless he MOTSes me. I'm already down 1-0..........
I can handle a loss. A win would definately be gravy early in the season.

taking on the way-too-strong dV demotee... using the 3p strategy, so far has kept it scoreless through 30 mins...
but my top striker now has a bad foot injury, i'm a little nervous

1-0 37 mins in, I've missed 3 chances though. :( I'm in the rain which should help me, because I'm playing 2-3 powerful players.

Tied 1-1 after 37 minutes. The team I'm playing is 3 points ahead of me but has had a much much easier schedule than I have so far and he is only ahead of me by 1 goal allowed in GD. My midfield and attack are considerably stronger than his are so I'm expecting a victory.

Halftime. 2-1, one missed chance. I have 52% posession. Stadium is only about 46% full.

1-1 at half. I had 57% possession but each team had 1 chance.

Up 2-1 with 48% possession at the half. I think I have a stamina advantage on this sucker, so I anticipate winning midfield in the 2nd half and pulling out a 2 goal win.

I MOTS against the #2 and he's getting creamed 4-0. I have 68% possession. I thinks he may have PIC'ed. Either way, its a sunny day and his 2 powerful players are having a tough time plus both his middies are unpredicatble and have already made a goal costing mistake. I win this, and the rest of the season is a cake walk.
