I'm traveling down to Lima and Cuzco on May 9th, 2005 till May 22nd and I'm wondering if there will be any soccer games during this period (In Lima and/or Cuzco)?

There definitely will be games in Lima, and probably in Cusco, but the Peruvian league doesn't set their games until about a week or two before they're played.

When you get there just check out the sporting newspapers and see what games will be played. And just between you and me, you gotta check out an Universitario game. The best team, best stadium, best fans.

Anyway I would recommend u to go to Alianza and Cristal games. They are far better than la U.

Lou is right. If you want to experience a nice atmosphere, go to a Universitario game. Cristal fan are dead, Alianza Lima fans are always trying to imitate Universitario fans and basically if you can't catch Universitario I highly suggest you see a second division game by the most exciting team there, Deportivo Municipal. Alot better than going to Cristal or Aliankaka Lima game. :)
