Has anyone forgot that we have leverkusen coming up in 4 days??i know we have to go one match at a time(newcastle),but this match is as important or even more important that the N.U game!

its a real pitty that trore will be out as well for this one,so i guess there will be no other option but to play riise as a LB ,play DiDi and biscan in the middle of the park,and put gerrard up front with baros!we have so many injuries that it is quite easy to guess which playersare going to be in the starting XI.

I think we will go with the same backline as we did today. Insert Hamann into to the midfield for Smicer and defend our lead. You may say thats a bad strategy, but with our injury situation, we don't have much of a choice.

As for Leverkusen, this is our chance at the big time, to make something special out of this year. Think about it, if we win on Wednesday, we can say that we are one of the best 8 teams in Europe (and likely the only one from England). That's pretty special, I don't care who you are.

You know, I understand when you come on to our board when you're team is playing us and comment on said game. But if you plan on sticking around and referring to everyone as "sunshine" and do all your other pretentious antics, me and plenty of others are going to get pissed off.

Regarding Wednesday's game -- I agree that we need to set out the 5-4-1 we played today, although I hope Didi and Jerzy will be back.

I think Dudek, Hamann and Kewell will all be back for Wednesday's game. Leverkusen lost today 1-0 so they will be in the same mood as us.

That's easily the best lineup we can field. We're going to be forced to play Baros up front for the rest of the tournament.

Yeap,and thats why i agree with the line-up!biscan should cover the right side,DiDi should cover the left side of the midfield,to help out riise,and gerrard should stay in the center of the park!

And by the way,leverkusen have just lost 1-0 against Hamburg,away from home,so the 2 sides are pretty much in the same position!

The result is easy to predict,actualy!if we manage to score atleast 1 ,we will surely qualify.but if we dont,then our work will be cut out,and leverkusen are a side capable of scoring 3 goals!but in europe,we have been good away from home,so anything is possible.

If Harry Kewell is fit I expect him to play. Rafa wants to see Harry play as much as he can before the end of the season, so he can decide on his future at the club.

Thankfully having Gerrard in the lineup will keep LFC attacking, hopefully Baros and whoever partners up with him, don't lose the ball as much.

The longer the team stays in Bayer's defensive zone the better.

It's one of the reasons he's been maligned over the years, no matter who's been positioned in front of him. He will be in top form for this one. Bernd Schneider is a girl!
