So i have myself a Hauppauge PVR 150MCE.

I am looking for some good Cap Software for it.

I have looked at SageTV, BeyondTV, Windows MCE.

Basically my purpose is to record shows, soccer games, etc and encode them to divx and share on torrent as well as record them to DVD.

If you have you preferred Software/Process for how you do this, please post them.

I appreciate Kronos and Maxxed and whoever has contributed to the many torrents/vids that hey have made available. I with to know the process behind thier madness.

thank you.

That'll show you how to do ANYTHING with regards to digital video. Lots of walkthrus.

Personally, I use virtualdub to capture to uncompressed AVI (faster), and whatever tool is appropriate to compress/convert the video beyond that. I believe virtualdub is capable of converting to DiVX/XViD.

Whats wrong with DScaler? I haven't tried any of those you've mentions but DScaler does everything I need it to. And its free!

I watch tv on cap as well as sometimes cap, so ive been looking at the bigger apps.

Both. DScaler has the ability to capture in many formats. Right now i'm capturing with Dscaler using DivX format. You dont even need vdub. Just download it, play around with the options and you wont be disappointed. Only problem with DScaler that it always on beta, so that means you may have some compatibility issues. But just give it a try.
