Hey
Just wondered if anyone could help me out and answer the following questions. PLEASE!
United fans are renowned for having more songs and chants than any other team in the land, but do we sing too many anti-city songs? What do think City fans think when they hear United supporters singing about them even when we are not playing them?
Do you agree United supporters label city fans 'Stockporters' to validate their claims to be Mancunian, because of the perception that Mancunian United supporters don't exist?
It’s been argued City wish to emulate United’s success in terms of profitability, commercialisation and world-wide fan base (not to mention performance on the pitch). Do you agree? And if so, do you think City will lose its respectability/ image as working class?
Apart from the obvious rivalry because of the geographical closeness of the teams, do you think there are other reasons for the rivalry? Do you think the rivalry that exists is a part of our culture? And honestly would you miss the banter, if City seized to exist?
Is a Manchester Red anymore authentic than a fan from Singapore who shares up for years to make a pilgrimage to Old Trafford? Does United still represent Manchester? How do you reject claims City are the real Manchester team?
And how annoying is it when people assume you support City because you come from Manchester?
Know there’s loads here don't expect you to answer everything just hoping to be able to produce a debate City Vs United for title of Pride of Manchester. So any feedbacks welcome.
Thanks in advance. Look forward to hearing your views
P.S. I really don’t mean to offend anyone with any of the above questions or be patronising in anyway (Just a bit controversial).
