--Namoff---------Petke---------Stokes
------------------Carroll
Gros-------------Olsen-----------??????
-----------------Gomez
-------Moreno-----------Eskandarian
-Stokes starts since Prideaux is hurt.
-Who plays the wing opposite Gros is anybody's guess- Adu? Quaranta? Quintanilla? Van Sicklin?

I hope to see Quaranta start on the wing, then move up top in the second half when Freddy comes in. I wonder if he's still scared of the crowd at the Soccerplex? :D
These bobsled-driver-wannabe's have no chance against the mighty United ......
I love this thread.

How has Gros been playing in preseason? I'm one of those who thinks that Gros is far from being a lock to be a regular 1st choice player on this team. based on purely "skill", he is behind Q1, Q2, Adu, and Dema (and if you read some of the pre-season reports, some suggest that VanSicklen is a more skilled reincarnation of Gros as well). Gros is a hard worker with pretty good skill. Having said that, since we haven't played a game that counts this season, and with Dema hurt, Gros will probably get the start in this particular game. Just saying that I wouldn't at all be surprised if he is coming off the bench at the end of the season.

I'm guessing it will be Sick and Gros on the wings, but I wouldn't be shocked if Freddy played in the left wing position.

man adu, quaranta or cheyo means we'll get virtually no defense out of that wing position. i hope they don't have a badass player on that right wing. that could put a ton of pressure on stokes.
i don't know squat about van sicklin.
i'm wondering if you don't push olsen out there and insert lawson for olsen in the middle--for this game only.

I don't think Nowak would do that as Olsen is too good in the middle to be moved outside.

that is of course the other side of it--even if they have an advantage there it ought to not cost us the match--at least in theory. :D

I did a little research and here's what I could find on the opponents. Harbour View qualified for the quarterfinals after defeating fellow Jamaican side Tivoli Gardens 3-2 on aggregate. The deciding goal came in stoppage time of the second match of the series at Tivoli Gardens.
Their recent form hasn't been that great with two wins, two draws, and two losses in their last six league matches. They did win their last match on Tuesday 2-1, although their coach Donovan Hayles told the media he wasn't happy with the performance. They're currently fourth in the league, six points behind the leaders. Nicholas McCreath and Clifton Waugh are the leading goal scorers with six. Their most dangerous player is #9 Luton Shelton, who led the Jamaican national team in scoring at the recent Caribbean Nations Cup.
Anyone know anything else?

Nothing Harbor View can do will prepare them for the predicted conditions: 43 degrees for the high, 30 percent chance of showers. In other words, humid and raw.

Anyone know anything else?
Squad: Jermaine Hue (captain), Clifton Waugh, Fabian Taylor, Robert Scarlett, Damion Stewart, Luton Shelton, Jermaine Taylor, Leighton Murray, Ryan Thompson, Donald Stewart, Sean Fraser, Lovel Palmer, Christopher Harbey, Nicholas McCreath, Marcelino Blackburn, Jomo Gordon, William Richards, Thomas Grant, Craig Stewart, Orville Campbell.
Of course everyone knows Fabian Taylor from last season. Jermaine Hue is also on the Jamaican national team.

Arriving in Baltimore today should help at least somewhat.

This picture confuses me. Of course thats probably due to the fact that the artistic part of my brain is the size of a scum fans (well maybe thats going too far).
I love this thread, it feels so good to start speculating on line-ups we have no control over. On that note, who plays on the left?

I like this line-up, a lot. I think Quaranta has something to prove this year and he's going to do very well. Adu can sub for any of the three up-front players, Q2 can sub in central midfield, and Van Sicklen probably will sub on the wing.
I'm ready!
Aren't we there yet! :D
