As I settled down to make a nice thick rum and coke last night I recieved a call from none other then the Generalisimo Oscar himself.

He asked me to convey vital information to all of the amigos in La Barra Brava.

--Exciting things are in the works for the 2005 season comrades!

BARRA BRAVA TICKETS FOR SOCCERPLEX CCC 3/9

--The Barra IS selling tickets for this event.

They are $20 and can be obtained by RSVP thru contacting Oscar at his email address:

hozkar98@cox.net

Or by calling him directly (and leave a voice message) at 703-249-8481

Now... As several of you will note the cost of these tickets is slightly higher then what the SE's are currently selling theirs for, this is because Oscar is using the difference in financing several new additions to the Barra:

1.) At least two new HUGE banners custom made in South America for the group.

2.) Two new LARGE South American style drums built for the group. These are like La Norte's but are the exact same thing as the ones used in the actual Barra's of South America.

There will be a lot more noise coming from the Barra this season!

SEASON TICKETS:

El Generalisimo would like to remind you all that there are still plenty of great season tickets to be had in the Barra Brava.

A full season ticket is $320

That is $300 for the ticket and $20 for your membership fee.

IF you have already renewed/signed up then you are way ahead of the game and the tickets are $300.

--Now this may seem a bit more but as you may or may not know the team raised prices a bit and tickets are a little more expensive this year. (A small price to pay IMHO...) The Barra also does not sell as many tickets as the Screaming Iggles so therefore we pay a small bit more (members $10)

If you STILL feel this is unjust I offer you this....
Chico's Forum (The Ladies of LA Barra Brava) (http://www.barra-brava.com/gallery/index.asp?cat=70)

--IS $10 really such a high price to pay for this as opposed to the "lovely ladies" of the SE's??? :D

If you would like season tickets PLEASE contact Oscar at his email address:
hozkar98@cox.net

He may not respond immediately but he will confirm your ticket. I promise.

Please note: There is no need to panic in the Barra for your season ticket order if you have yet to purchase one.

We are unofficially GENERAL ADMISSION so if you buy with us you are not getting a crap seat at the back of the group. Anyone who buys a season ticket in the Barra: either today, tommorrow, or the day of the season opener is free to stand in the front row, back row or whatever aisle you pass out in at any point in the season! It is a nice aspect of Barra membership and well worth the $10 difference between us and the SE's who will have you sitting somewhere near the CSC guard in the back aisle at this point. (not a dig at the SE's just the truth my Barra amigos...)

No one will ever ask you to move from "their seat" in the Barra.

Buying a season ticket in the group also entitles you to the free goodies (scarf and hat) that the team offered AND if you pay your membership dues the free offical Barra jersey that all members recieve each season.

IF you have any questions please PM me or feel free to post them here.

Does BB offer a flex pack? I'd love to get full or half season tickets but I just physically can't get to as many games I'd like. Especially if I spend 2 months in Europe again this summer studying abroad. Or studying broads. Or something.

More drums, more banners, more natty yeah yeah yeah. That's fine.

What about cowbell?

I need that cowbell.

I'll look into the FLEX tickets.

But honestly the day of the game tickets also work equally well.

They are heavily discounted along our "broad" college scholarship program (aka they're relatively cheap and include free high quality keg beer ;) ) while the general admission idea still applies... (meaning no hassles for last minute decisions)

--Best of all you are more then welcome to participate in the now world famous Barra tailgates. :D

I... I'm sorry I have a short attention span. Are you saying if I bring some young co-eds with me I get in free? That can be arranged.

for some reason, the pictures in the gallery come up with 404 error "file not found"

Anyone else having an issue? or is this a problem on my end?

Does your brother have some sort of weird gravitational pull? Why do the people lean towards him so much?

Are there any more Barra tickets for Harbor View at the 'Plex? I emailed Oscar but haven't heard back from him. I only need one!

I believe there are.

If you have yet to hear back from Oscar, call him on his cell phone at:

571-594-3819

(--Dont worry its not weird or a big deal. He is expecting people to as he just sent out a group email to the Barra today...)

Thank you, Natty. :p

Just posting to add...single game tickets might be the best option here. Not gonna break the bank. Only downside I see for you is no parking tickets, but Im not sure a flex plan includes them - will have to let Owen or Oscar get back to you on that one.
