Hey, guys!
I've been using a program to watch matches online called CoolStreaming. Chandu has been promoting this in several other threads. In a nutshell, it is a stream-sharing program that passes the stream amongst all of the users taking all of the bandwidth load off of the stream server.
Anyway, one of the streams listed is for ESPN Asia. ESPN Asia is carrying the Fulham/Charlton match on tape-delay on Saturday night at 8:00PM Eastern/5:00PM Pacific. The commentary will probably be in Chinese but who cares. You can still see the match.
I've been using this program at work over the last week and have been watching Champions League, FA Cup and Premiership matches aired on ESPN Asia and StarSports (listed as test sports on CoolStreaming). The streams are pretty smooth especially if your not using your computer for anything else. And I have run across a few matches in English as well as Sports Center with almost all football.
Some tips. After installing and running the program, click on the button third from the left a couple of times until it converts the language to english. Then select a channel to watch. Give the program a few minutes to load and run properly as both the buffers in Windows Media Player and CoolStreaming needs to get filled up. It will be choppy at first but give that few minutes to sync up properly.
Where to get the program? Go to www.coolstreaming.org (http://www.coolstreaming.org) and download it.
If after finding you like the program you can get up to date television schedules from www.espnstar.com (http://www.espnstar.com). I've using the Malaysian schedule lists since it seem to match what is on. BTW, the time zone for east asia is U.S. Eastern +13 hours.
You may also want to make a search for Coolstreaming here in the forums for more details.
Let me know what you think.
Enjoy!
