"Euro soccer coverage damaging Asian football: Velappan" found here:

As an aside: If we had this problem in the US, would it be considered progress?

I've wondered about this here. I wonder how my Eurosnobs would turn to MLS if they were not offered ANY European soccer matches.

We all know someone that won't tune in an MLS match because they believe it's below the Euro leagues. But fat chance USSF or MLS can do anything about the amount of coverage here.

MLS will have to grow in spite of the amount of attention many soccer fans, but not MLS fans, give to the Eurotrash.

I fail to see ANY logic behind posts like this. I am a big MLS fan. I watch MLS because it is our league. I also love FSW and I'm not so dumb to think that MLS offers the same level of play as do top games from Europe's top leagues. It is still a darn entertaining league to watch though. Hell one of my favorites leagues to watch is Argentina and that isn't top, top shelf either.

Ultimately liking MLS versus other leagues is not a mutually exclusive thing.

I think you fail to see my point. You wouldn't be the first.
