Sorry, this is the whole DMN article....

From Staff Reports

LA MANGA, Spain ** In a rain-drenched, 25-degree night in Spain, FC Dallas rallied from a 1-0 deficit to score two second-half goals and beat Molde of Norway, 2-1, in a friendly match

I thought there was more.

To add on, the article mentioned above has an internet address of the promoter: http://www.mlsexhibitions2005.com/index.htm

What is neat, is that it gives a preview of how the reserve and full team schedules might look like (based on Colorado).

Not hard to belive that voters in Texas, where there is just one D-I men's program - and 5 hours from Houston, at that - have no love fro NCAA soccer.

Not hard to belive that voters in Texas, where there is just one D-I men's program - and 5 hours from Houston, at that - have no love fro NCAA soccer.Since the article also emphasizes women's college soccer as providing opportunities for girls, I'd imagine that the hope was that the "NCAA" option would cover that part of the landscape. Of course, there's still apparently no love for that option in any event.

We are indeed sadly lacking in D-I men's college soccer around here (although San Jacinto College has an excellent men's junior college team).

The more interesting thing is that Houston, which has no MLS team, has a newspaper that regularly devotes a significant amount of space to MLS. :D

From the Royal Gazatte "Rev It Up" story

...And there won’t be any exceptions to the rule when the touring MLS Western Conference side run out at the NSC tonight.
