According to the U.S. Soccer site, the Gold Cup games are going to be on Fox Sports World.
Is that on in the D.C./Baltimore area?
Aren't their shows sometimes carried by Comcast Mid-Atlantic, like the Best Damn Sports Show Period?
Just thought I'd get this thread started early, rather than waiting till the last minute, and then panicking...................

Is that on in the D.C./Baltimore area? It should be. I know Summers in Arlington gets it and folks in the DC area with DirecTV get it. You may want to contact your cable provider.

Looks like FSW is showing all the matches, not just the US ones. How refreshing.

Agrrrh! I don't get this channel and I have digital cable -- what the hell; I need to call my cable provider ASAP.
Will anyone be doing a PBP for these games?
I need a backup plan if I'm not able to actually view these games.

I think CSN sometimes picks up FSW's feed, but there are no guarantees.

I probably will and I KNOW that the others around here that get FSWD will LOVE to help me out on this. There are like 50 of us alone on the womens boards that have FSWD and are MORE THAN HAPPY to do PBP's for the Gold Cup in a couple of weeks. Hell they all helped out during the previous 2 WUSA seasons. Gotta love that.
EDIT
It is my guess that the USWNT matches will be on MatchTracker as well. MatchTracker does a hella lot better job than I do at PBP's.

I would not count on Comcast SPorts Net in the Baltimore/DC area picking up these games as they will be busy with the Caps and the Lizards. If you don't have FSW, you will probably be out of luck.

I'll help out, its fun having a laptop connected to the internet now and FSW :D I'd have helped you out fear, if I HAD any of those spiffy channels that you get.

I compared the schedule at the end of the link with the one at www.foxsportsworld.com/world/ and they are quite different. If you go by womensoccer.com schedule, you will miss the fact that in the next week 19 games will be broadcast, 12 LIVE and 7 TAPE-DELAYED and re-broadcasts. I think that schedule shows only the LIVE broadcasts. Plus (not on the womensoccer schedule), Panama vs. Trinidad-Topago will be broadcast LIVE, 10/27 at 4pm (EST).
Instead, try http://www.foxsportsworld.com/world/ and click on the links in the Program Schedules section.

The San Diego Spirit are also having a viewing party for this. Go read this thread:

Props to Ron and the Spirit staff for getting these things together.
EDIT
Looks like the Spirit have to cancel this.

Some of us will probably go to the Sports City Cafe, it definitely has FSW. That's where a number of us watched NWT and Spirit away games last year.
(It's weird to think that a place like Seau's doesn't get FSW...)
