Generoso Rossi making his first start in a QPR shirt. Fairly strong lineup for the R's with Gino Padula, Gareth Ainsworth, Adam Miller, Tony Thorpe, and Jamie Cureton all getting a start.

QPR XI: Rossi, Hamilton, Padula, Johnson, Kanyuka, Ainsworth, Bailey, Miller, Brown, Thorpe, Cureton

US fans may be interested to know that Bobby Convey is getting some action today.

Reading XI: Young, Osano, Stapleton, Castle, Ujah, Convey, Howell, Little, Kachloul, Goater, Morgan

Thorpe scores again! Miller won the ball, played it to Cureton who made the cross to Thorpe who scored!

QPR 2-1 Reading

Haven't heard Convey mentioned yet. Catney, who is listed by the Reading site as a sub, was their scorer, so I don't know if he started in place of Convey, or if he came in for Convey, or if Convey is out there and hasn't been mentioned.

"Brillian chip" by Jamie Cureton after a good through-ball by Adam Miller, but Cureton's shot went just over the bar.

Save by Rossi. "Ball hit at him but he dropped down and pushed the ball away." Reading missed on the rebound.

"Good save by Rossi" over the bar on a "poing blank header" after a Reading cross.

QPR Reserves 2-1 Reading Reserves
HALF TIME

Sounds like good play from Miller, Thorpe, Ainsworth (who is very active) and Rossi.

Second half has kicked off. Farr on for Thorpe for Rangers. No changes for Reading.

Rossi blocks a Stapleton effort; Reading corner; won by Rangers.

Farr sent a good ball for Cureton who earned a corner kick -- Cureton thought it was a handball.

Another save by Rossi. He's been busy in the latter part of the first and first part of the second half and seems to be up to it.

Ainsworth has been very busy, giving Reading problems up the right side.

Another good save by Rossi, pushing it behind for a corner, after Padula played a man onside and Rossi had some work to do.

Convey is in, as he's been mentioned having quite a few touches over the last couple of minutes. Didn't hear them mention him coming on.

Ball just went into the directors box, heading toward Bill Power! They said he was alert and avoided the ball! Commentator reports that Power, Paladini, Holloway, Penrice, etc. are at the match.

Corner earned by Aaron Brown. Brown having "a better second half" according to the commentator.

Catney coming off for Reading.

There's a camera crew from Italy down to do a story on Rossi's first QPR action.

Header by Convey saved by Rossi.

The commentators (Billy Rice has joined the guy doing play-by-play) are happy with how the young players have slotted in next to the experienced guy. They say that Stefan Bailey hasn't looked out of place next to Adam Miller in central midfield. Bailey is 17.

Just avoided a potential own-goal. The ball came off a QPR head (Padula?) and caught Rossi wrong-footed but the ball went wide.

On the corner, Rossi blocked a shot after the ball was loose in the penalty area.

"Convey's cross is a good one..." forcing Rossi to palm it away.

Goal by Reading's Morgan. 2-2. Commentator says he thinks Morgan has been their best player today.

A turnover by the R's left Reading's Little with the ball, he passed to Convey, whose shot was blocked by one of the QPR defenders. Out for a corner. Rossi clears after the corner.
