We like JPG and he was very impressive in his appearances in the 1. team this year, no doubt about this.
Podolski and Guerrero are different kind of strikers. JPG is a box player with great technical skills and anticipation but not very fast in sprint.
Podolski is very fast, tempo dribbler, distance shooter and absolutely cool in front of any keeper. IŽd say, a this time it is not decided, wether he will be central striker or offensive midfielder in the future.
All I am saying is that we should proobably turn our attention to other positions instead of just forwards...

And all i'm saying is JPG doesn't have to prove anything anymore. Many players his age could only dream to be in the position he is. And its all thanks to his God given skills. Until Podolski proves he can make it with the big boys, he's nothing compared to JPG.

Podolski already proved it with the 'big boys'. He played 17 games in the 1. Bundesliga and scored 10 goals, now he playes 2. Bundesliga and scores 18 in 20 games. That are amazing stats, especially for a 19 year old man.
So Podolski is certainly not 'nothing', compared to Guerrero. I think Guerrero has more to prove than Podolski. Podolski is around for 1,5 years and proved that he is a constant goalscorer and a fantastic player (don't forget that Podolski is not a real striker like e.g Makaay, but half-striker, half-midfielder who makes lots of assists). Guerrero is in the first team for a little more than half a year, plays a great season but still has to prove that he is more than a 'one-season-wonder'.

What, and 21 goals in 24 games for the reserves is nothing? He's the reason the reserves were Champs last year.
Like I said, anybody that's Guerrero's age (e.g. Podolski) would love to be where Guerrero is now. Guerrero is doing it, two years in a row (even though you dont think so), playing for a big team like Bayern that has Makaay and Pizarro and even Santa Cruz, yet he fought his way up to being third string striker through hard work and skills. Who did Poldoski have to go against to earn a spot at Koln??
I know its hard to admit it for you germans and (better not say it), but seeing that Germany, as a whole, cannot produce any decent strikers, they need to either nationalize strikers or drool over some young potential that's yet to prove anything. All he's proven is that he can score ALL the goals for his little team without any competition from any other striker vieing for his spot.
But its ok, this is not the first forum I encounter this mentality... I already know the german mentality, its not new to me at all. As any other foreigner, they have to work extra hard and Guerrero is doing just that, even if you dont want to admit it... while Poldoski is being babyied in germnay being the 'darling' of german soccer that he is.
In the end, I hope Poldoski DOES come to Bayern, even though Poldoski might get special treatment, I can asure you that Guerrero will still come out on top.

Can't we just agree that they're both great talents? And of course, any Bayern fan will be happy to have another good striker like Podolski in the team. I can't really see the point of arguing here.
