Finally! Thanks for pointing that out, that really bugs me too.

I believe that's "Championship Week" Complain if you want to, but it's probably been booked since about 1997.
Besides, it's a friendly featuring our B squad. It'd be nice if it were on, but I wouldn't expect them to put it on.

Championship week?
I'm just gonna assume that's slang for college basketball, and therefore I understand why FSC is getting the US game.

This should be fun! It's at Fullerton, probably a decent split between fans, and with the cozy confines it could be very competitive.
It's nice to have FSC picking up more friendlies, and ESPN the big games. Coverage is so much better than even a few years ago. Now with GolTV (I love it, despite the low-budget presentation) and in my case Galavision and Univision I can't go a day without some decent soccer on TV. Compare to just say the 1998 WC and we've come light years in soccer coverage in this country.

Never assume. Although you're right with your guess. The various conference tournaments and automatic NCAA tournament bids are up for grabs. IMO other than great soccer matches, NCAA tourney action and NCAA football offer the best fan experience anywhere.

FINALLY, somebody points out the OBVIOUS!! Thanks, pasoccerdave.
Being American-Colombian, this "blatant" grammar situation has always BUGGED me.
Should add that Columbia is also a city in South Carolina.

Not just a city, the Capital, not to be mistaken for capitol. :)

Can someone please correct the spelling on this thread title?

I like it spelled "Columbia" actually. They mispell our country's name all the time, and not just by a couple of letters. "Estadios Unidos" is the most common error. How a large group of people can make that much of a mistake over and over again is beyond me. It's not even the same words, every letter is completely wrong.

United Stadium?
Never seen it.
Let's not forget the home of the despicable Missouri Tigers: Columbia, Missouri.
And it's a spelling error, not a grammatical one.

I know several hardcore US fans in LA who are planning on going to Mexico vs Argentina instead of USA/COL.
I can't say I blame them. I'm dumbfounded by the scheduling of this game.

Oh, for god's sake, are you a Jayhawk? Only Jayhawks hate Missouri enough to diss them in a totally unrelated thread. Missouri never wins a friggin' thing, for crying out loud. How can people hate them? Well, aside from Quin Snyder ... but that's more of a Duke thing. BTW, this is my hometown you're talking about. Nevertheless, I think Columbia, South Carolina is much more well-known than Columbia, MO.
Anyhoo .... carry on.

Guilty as charged. Though I'm sure some Cyclones and a few Cornhusker's (but fewer since the whole 5th down incident) hate the Tigers, too. :D
The only Missou Tiger I don't hate is Anthony Peeler. Peeler was class.
