Rangers News:
Thorpe won't return to training until Monday, so he's out. No word yet on picking up Davies for this weekend, so I'd guess that didn't get done. The official site says that Ainsworth, Padula, and Miller are pushing for starting places. The BBC says Ainsworth could return to the lineup at the expense of Cook, meaning Rowlands would start on the left. Interesting.
The Opponent:
With a home loss to Watford this week, Ipswich dropped behind Wigan on goal difference for the top spot. Hopefully we won't see a major bounceback from them this weekend.
Last six (most recent first):
H Watford L, 1-2
A Preston D, 1-1
H Leicester W, 2-1
A Sheffield United W, 2-0
A Reading D, 1-1
H Coventry W, 3-2
The First Meeting:
It was a good one. Ipswich won 4-2 at Loftus Road in November. Rangers overcame an early 1-0 deficit through two Paul Furlong goals at 27 and 30, but three second-half strikes by Ipswich gave them all three points.

The Series:
It's close, with Ipswich leading 22-15-19. The clubs first met in the 1938/39 season.
The Referee:
Andy D'Urso has been assigned. He's worked 21 matches this season, issuing 56 yellows and 6 reds. The largest number of his games (9) have come in the Premier League. He worked our 0-0 New Year's Day home match with Brighton. He sent off Furlong on a bad call and the red card was later rescinded by the League.
