We shall see if he can win the Bundesliga golden boot next season. I dont think he will but he should be in the top 5 in goals scored by the end of the season.

Don't think so. He is still a Rennes player, so I wouldn't be so fast. Even if he does move to BvB, I still think he's just top 3 striker (Klose, Makaay are better).

Frei is still technically a Rennes player but they have already signed his replacement.

Dumbest move of the year. He will hardly get any playing time over there and he'll be back in France in less than 2 years.

Bruno Cheyrou is close to signing. I think its interesting than Rennes are willing to pay him and Bordeaux arent.

Cheyrou ripped Bordeaux management on his way out the door. He is very unhappy with them on how things went down. He clearly wanted to stay but I guess he thought they didnt want to keep him.

Cheyrou would've had to ward off Micoud's challenge for the starting role anyways and I still think Ricardo is doing a decent job in the transfer market. He managed to keep Fernando on permanent basis and most importantly convinced Micoud to come back home. I'm telling you those were vital moments.

Rennes may play with Puma gear next year...Sponsorship, furnishing...No, Stade Rennais' owner François Pinault* is simply buying the brand !

In other news, Rennes are after - yet - another Swede.

Strange feeling : hard to rejoice over Nantes' woes while Rennes makes another last gasp attempt to reach the european places. Same as two years ago, the same question haunting us ; why such a bad start to the season ?

Sorry Nantes, from a general POV, Rennais have much more respect for the Canaries - given what they achieved - than the opposite but what can we do. Apparently the FCNA staff has been digging its own grave althrough the season...

Can anyone imagine Rennes claiming that third spot ?

Here is the final schedule :

Rennes - Bordeaux
Troyes - Rennes
Rennes - Lorient
Lille - Rennes

The game against Bordeaux will have vital important in that regard.
