Mexicanos al extranjero - II

Barcelona defender Rafael Marquez has claimed that Chelsea acted like bad losers after their 2-1 defeat in the Nou Camp on Wednesday night.

Spurning a future career in the diplomatic corps, Marquez reckons that the Blues have only kicked up a fuss over a reported row in the tunnel at half-time in attempt to deflect attention from their defeat...

I was watching the Mexico-Colombia game and the announcers said that on Saturday's 10 o'clock Titulares on Telemundo, there was going to be a segment about Mexican players in the Argentinian league.

They also got eliminated from the FA Cup, not a good couple of days for Chelsea.

That's the thing I don't get about FCB and Marquez.

He's been tagged by Ronaldinho, Puyol and Laporta to be a possible future captain of Barcelona.

Yet some of the fans have often criticized him for opening his mouth about Rijkaard.

It's a redeeming trait, I think, from someone you want to lead your squad.

A strong team needs a strong captain.

Catalunya better treat him good, 'less they want to see him suit up in white once God arrives as coach.

:)

Marquez has that attitude like he's a Captain. I could see that just not him in the white uni.

i read it yesterday here

http://www.eluniversal.com.mx/pls/impreso/noticia_busqueda.html?id_nota=30662&tabla=grafico_h

Did anyone catch that bit on Marquez's birthday dinner in Barcelona?

It was on the radio during the show Orvañanos hosts. Locally, I believe it's 950AM.

Anyway, what I caught was that Rafa's wife was acting like a total snob, refusing to pay for more than two beers for each invitee. Also, some bit about her having the spanish lisp added to her speech. I only managed to hear that Puyol was one of the guests, but there were others I missed due to passing under a freeway. You know the AM radio situation here in L.A. :(

She seems like a bytch. Everyone adapts to that country's accent sooner or later though.

The accent isn't my problem. It's just a little tidbit for metalmaster and el_zacatecano, I guess.

Her being bitchy is really sad for Rafa. She seems controlling. I'd hate for our captain to be mangoneado like that.

exactly levante, if she speaks with the lisp , it does not necessarily mean she is being creeida or anything, sometimes people unconsciously pick up things like that.
