first off, what do you train?...what area will get better on its own...I'd guess defender by the ratings...
maybe get yourself a brilliant IM to help win possession...always key.

I'm not as great as most of the guys who give advice but looks like you might need an upgrade at striker... tell me... do you usually have the run of midfield? If so then get a good striker or perhaps a top notch winger... i don't know about the higher levels but most in my series dont have good wingbacks... a great winger usually exposes this... especially when facing an assymetrical 3-5-2.

Did you get that money by selling a trainee? If so, then I would spend around 500-600K of it buying an excellent or higher trainee to replace him and use the rest of it on a new striker.

looking at his midfield, he probably has formidables. I agree with mtkillamanjo and would spend the money on forwards or wingers. Pure wingers are extremely cheap. You could probably get brillint wingers.
But if you dont have at least solids for every position, you should do that. High solids are very cost effective.

my midfield has (injuries pending) 2 brilliants and 1 formidable with pass exp.
i have excellent at every position except for one wb (solid wing/solid def) and my wingers who are both formidable with weak PM

I saw that you're 3-0 and top of your DV series. Do you realistically have a shot at winning and promoting? If you do go up, you may want to consider expanding your stadium from its current level of 37680.
What are your plans with Leon? If you plan on selling him or making him into a coach soon you'd probably want a decent trainee to replace him.

there is little chance that i'll go up. i've just been a little better at managing than everyone else in my series. i'll probably end up adding 10-15 grand more seats by the end of the season

leon should probably take a good part of the season to pop to solid exp (but i hope he doesn't take that long). the trainees i look at generally don't cost too much money because i've bought 17 yo with inad pm, decent passing, and at least passable def. that is definatly something to consider though

Well then I'd just bank the money and sit on it til you need to either upgrade your stadium, train Leon as a coach and buy a trainee to replace Leon. Remember, training a solid exp player to a solid trainer costs about $700k.

I'd sit on the money. Save up $10 million and you can have a free $100k in interest payments every week (well, $85k p/w after you deduct the economists' wages). $85k a week ain't bad money. That's $1.36 million a season for doing nothing.

thats so long to wait though. i got $2.5 million now and hattrix says i'm making $9500 a week with 8 economists. i guess i can sit on it for a little but it'll be a long time before i'm at $10 million

forget that, if I follow this thread you are 3-0 with 2.5M in the bank...go get 2 outstanding strikers with some passing to boost your attack ratings and go for promotion!

hm that sounds like a pretty good plan. my guys already have passing but i guess they could use some more scoring

good choice... seeing as you already have forwards w/ good passing see if u can get the best winger possible and then get a forward w/ strictly scoring.... the way you are making money, you will have enough to upgrade players again soon... eitherway, make it so that if u promote u wont have to upgrade at both the winger and striker spots, just one. that's my advice...
