I know this is a bit off topic but ESPN Soccernet reports that Dewayne DeRosario is trying out at Blackburn. DeRosario's agent, Lyle Yorks, also is Nelsen's so that probably is the "in." However, given Blackburn's pathetic scoring abilities, I can't imagine DeRosario wouldn't be some sort of improvement over Gallacher, Johnson or whomever else Hughes wants to pair with Dickov. Anyway, if DeRosario signs and plays with Blackburn, there is the possibility that 3 former MLS players, Friedel, DeRosario and Nelsen, could be starting for an EPL team. What does that say about MLS, or perhaps, what does that say about Blackburn?

It says alot, particularly regarding the top 20% of MLS, which I think is premiership level. maybe not Arsenal/Chelsea level but certainly Charlton/Blackburn level.

i think it speaks alot about both sides. I've maintained that MLS clubs can compete with the higher leagues around the world. That doesn't mean we are gonna run over Arsenal, Chelsea, ManU, Real Madrid, etc. But we can compete with those clubs. maybe lose more than we win, or maybe win more than we lose.
In watching Blackburn recently since Nellie's there, I thought to myself Rovers would be a better club with our duo of esky and moreno than they currently are. And our guys make alot less money. There are other guys who could help them too. DeRo is a good fit for them i think, with size and skill. Eddie Johnson would be a good EPL player, etc.
Once we get a few more of our guys overseas and doing well. Not just the McBrides sitting on the bench, or Lewis's and Convey's in the 2nd division, but guys like friedel, keller, howard (yes, i kno they're all GKs), Nelsen, Bocanegra. They will open the doors for more of our players over there AND will encourage players abroad to seek emplyment here as a viable option to make a career, and/or be noticed by bigger clubs for bigger paydays

I lost track of this. Was there any resolution?
EDIT: Nevermind. He left without an offer soon after arriving at Blackburn.
