I'm giving up now. 25 more overs to kill, but Tendulkar gone. It's looking like lights out for India now.

22 more overs to kill. 3 wickets to save.
It's 2:15 in the morning on Monday here. I can't go to sleep. I'm sitting here biting my nails.

19 more overs to kill.
It's good I've taken the rest of the week off from work. It's 2:25 AM in California, and I'm listening to live music on some random radio station in Melbourne, Australia (Triple M to be precise :p - remnant of following Monday night football on it earlier today), biting nails to events unfolding in Bangalore. Can life be more bizzare than this?

Pathan gone! Damn....
12 more overs to kill. 2 wickets to save. Kumble is one brave man. He has been giving me cardiac unrest.
It's past 3 AM here in California. They've been playing some AC DC on the station down in Australia. I think AC DC is an Australian group to begin with.
I hope at this moment a fat dark cloud with tons of moisture gathers over the stadium in Bangalore and starts poring rain for the next hour! :D
Man, last session of the last session left. Nobody is moving. Come on Harbhajan. Show some of your crazier side, and I mean that in a good way.

What is cricket coming to???
India just piled on 355 in 50 vs Pak in the 2nd ODI...
somehow, i feel with pakistans hitters and their depth, they may still have a chance of overhauling this...
what is cricket coming to when such a score still doesnt guarantee a win (we made 340+ just last year vs Pak, but only won by 5 runs in the last over)?
250-280 was considered a superb scorer less than 10 years ago...
remember when NZ racked up 285 in the 96 WC vs australia, and the australian chase was considered one of the best ever?
please no twenty20 cricket to take over from the ODIs... that would make things even more ridiculous...

It's the matter of how they prepare those wickets. If they keep on prearing dead tracks (especially in the subcontinent), that's what you'll get.

I know the purists hate this thing. But in terms of making more moolah, as well as getting a much bigger worldwide footprint (especially cracking that tough North American over-saturated sports market), twenty20 cricket may be exactly what the sport needs.

 Surely you're not suggesting that the Yanks have a shorter attention span than the rest of the world ????

I would hate Americanization of cricket. But do I have the power to stop it?
Then again, I remember I was quite confused when I "discovered" one-day cricket for the first time, sometime in mid 1970's after having been fed only test cricket years before that.

its hard for the US to 'americanize' cricket with 20/20, when the english created it
anyways.....
Pakistan scored 252/5 to beat India by five wickets in the fifth one-day international in Kanpur.
Shahid Afridi played an innings of untold savagery in Kanpur to help Pakistan take an unassailable 3-2 lead in the series. The opening batsman went totally bonkers and struck 102 off only 46 deliveries.
absolutely amazing to get those runs in such few balls. btw, pak were already at 131/1 at 14.2 overs

No, no. It's all an American fault. When it doubt blame Americanization. :D

Uhh, man! 9 sixes and 10 boundaries. That was some onslaught. The dude sure is crazy. It was all 1 man show which won the match for Pakistan, deservedly so.
India had better improve their fighting spirit. This isn't looking very good for them.

Come on India! 304 to win the last 1 day match and end the series evenly. Get this over with. I need to wake up in time for the ManUtd - Newcastle United FA Cup semi-final. 5 more hours to go...

Despicable. Pathetically despicable performance, India. I can't think of many players who've deserved the pride of pulling on the India shirt. There need to be serious ramifications for team selection, captaincy, everything as a result of such performance. A serious clearing house is required, I think.

Ganguly - out!!!!
Can you name any of Ganguly's contributions lately, either as a captain or individually?

Can you name any of Ganguly's contributions lately, either as a captain or individually? No, but I support Pakistan, so I'm perfectly fine with that. :D
Although, Dravid didn't do the greatest of jobs while standing in for Ganguly either, so I don't know. Ganguly does a pretty good job as far as setting up fielders and choosing bowlers goes, but as a batsman he's utterly useless. Inzi, on the other hand...
