OK . . . The "buzz" around MetroNation is great! However, I cannot possibly keep up with the growing thread. Hence, this new thread. Admittedly, I am a BigSoccer rookie, but cut me some slack, OK?

Now, I think the best way to satisy everyone's insatiable curiosity, and more importantly, their rampant misperceptions, is to set up a toll-free teleconference . . . one step shy of an official press conference, if you will.

You will have ample opportunity to ask questions of MetroNation, and conversely, allow MetroNation the opportunity to respond. This way, we can dispell some of the gibberish that is flying around this board/thread and clarify issues for some people who are "on the fence" about the whole thing.

I think that is fair to both you and MetroNation. We will be forthcoming with you, and I know you will reciprocate. I will make an honest effort to poll the group as to best day and time. I will start with the day of the week in this thread.

Yours in Red and Black,

Marc

PS

I am not sure how to post a poll, but I am going to try, being the MetroNation BigSoccer rookie that I am . . .

why do you want to have a teleconference? can't you just respond to questions posted in this thread?

Not really, because I do not have the time to spend in front of my computer . . . really . . . Would you not rather hear it straight from me and ESC, anyway? Anyway, we are offering it up as an option. Many folks tend to get impatient on these boards if I do not respond "right away."

The polls have closed, and it looks like Sunday was the winner, by a slim margin, but a margin, nonetheless. Check www.metronation.net for the time and Sunday date.

Meanwhile, in response to many of you. . . Respectfully, I think you have misinterpreted my post(s). MetroNation is seperate and distinct from ESC, BUT we hope to work together towards the same ultimate goal, MetroStars success.

I have no problem meeting ANYBODY personally, but for me, and all that I have going on with MetroNation, one step at a time . . . You can indulge me in my teleconference idea or not. It is all I can do at this time. Regardless, I hope to meet ALL of you at some point, whether it be at a match, or a pub. I can only spread myself so thin right now . . . essentially this is my second 80-hour/week job . . . if you know what I mean.

Please be patient, and things will evolve as they should. I am confident in that. I will be meeting Corey for a second time in the very near future, and I look forward to working with him and you (ESC). I respect ESC's heritage and longevity and have NO intention of doing otherwise. I believe strongly that we can coexist successfully!

Marc
