For a goal, I'm shooting for wins in all matches vs lower table teams, draw vs bolton at home and lose all matches vs top 4 that is 24 points which would give them 62 total.

Is that a feasible points target? Is europe still a possibility?

I think that Addicks will finsh with 55-59 points and just miss out on the UEFA Cup. I would love for them to qualify, but they just seem not to have enough of something to qualify. What that something is, I am not sure, but it is lacking.

So far I'm still quite proud of the Addicks this year, I wish I could have seen them perform a little better when they are on TV, live or replay... but I will say, if they don't qualify for UEFA but still make a respectable showing, I'll be satisfied with the result.

I, too, am proud of the Addicks.

What? Isn't this only the second or third year in the Prem where we have been talking about trying to get into the UEFA Cup?

I'm sure it used to be talk of getting into the Prem. Then talk of staying up. Then talk of finishing in the top half. Well, that's where we are. Now we are consistently talking about competing for that Cup spot.

Seems like a pretty steady rise. Sure, we could be like Leeds and have a rocket rise into the Champions League. What great memories. But look where they are now. I'd rather be steady and competitive -- and continue to do things the right way for the club.

One of these year's the Addicks will be the steady team that doesn't slip up at the end. It may even be this year. Everton seems to be slipping a bit. I'm not sure Boro can hold in there either. Bolton seems inconsistent as always. And Tottenham are Hotspurs then Coldspurs.

We could be close. I have hope. More than last year at this time. We may not get in, but I'm still cheering on my Addicks.

certainly I would call the season a success to this point. solidly in the top 10 with a shot at a spot in europe. Injuries to boro and everton reeling a bit could propel the addicks into a top 6 spot.

I think their goal should be 60-62 points, a loss at villa wouldn't suprise anyone and they'll probably draw one or two they should win and finish around 55-57.

I would like to see a draw vs m.utd at home or a "glorious" result like boxing day vs chelsea in 03 to give us something to remember if a spot in europe doesn't happen. that way i won't remember home loss to palace in the carling cup, the 4 goal losses and away v liverpool.
