I was listening to his radio show today over lunch and he was tirading and quite upset that his wife called him and told him the worst possible news yesterday:

It appears that their 8 year old son is turning out to be quite good at soccer for his age and team!!!

This led to him whooing and hawwing naturally and an inundated amount of "clones" emailing them their pain, sympathy and the same old tired jokes they use over and over.

Here's to wishing that he grows up to be a Star for the Nats and he gets interviewed sitting in the crowd watching while wearing an autographed Nats jersey...

Jr. must play on a bad team.

But seriously, can you imagine this kid after he scores: Guys, that was a really great goal. I can't tell you how great a goal that was. Just a really, great goal, guys, and I appreciate you guys telling me how great it was. Really, just great.

Do you know whose good at soccer? I AM!!! I rule this game! It's so great that I'm doing so well at this sport. Did we win? I don't know. I do know that I scored a goal. A great, great goal.

I'm gonna make so much coin playin' this game, I'll be able to ride the slickest sled in L-town or M-Ville when I get signed by Aresenal or Real Madrid.

What a great goal I scored.

Speaking of Rome-I was at Mass last weekend when I took a look up when the collection basked was passed and saw it was none other than Jim Everett of punch-out Rome fame...

For those of you who forgot, he's the guy who when baited by Rome ("Chrissy Everett") for ducking too many hits , jumped across the podium on TV and beat the snot out of him...

To be fair, he didn't beat the snot out of him. He did, if I remember correctly, fling the table that was between them like it was a toy, and charge after Rome. The absolute pant-crapping fear on Rome's face helps me sleep soundly, even today.

From what I have seen and heard about Everett it must have taken a lot for that guy to get that pissed-off...my impression is that he is a pretty stand-up guy...

Jim Rome ... sorry, don't care. Just another regional guy who couldn't cut it nationally. They cancelled his show here in Chicago. Never met anybody who listened to him, actually.

Just how sick was that? Epic take. Jr's got the jungle Karma. That's obvious. The kid just can't be stopped. He's a chip of the old block.

Late!
Biz Z in No Cal got off a serious blast.
No Cal never likes to show So Cal any luv.
I guess that's why they call it No Cal. Because they show "NO Luv" to anyone in So Cal..........
Hell, they don't even show themselves any luv sometimes!

The funny things is that there is a legion of people who actually care what he thinks.

The cult of the blowhard is alive and well on talk radio...

I never got the attraction to Rome. He doesnt offer any insightful commentary and I find his show to be boring.

Soccer is much better than Jim Rome.

After all, I don't see any scantily clad Brazilian women wiggling and bouncing during Rome's show.
