It's always hard to predict, all the more with 38 teams. But I think we can realistically say the champion will be from one of these:

Argentina
Brazil
Colombia
Paraguay
Uruguay

I don't know much about the "big" name teams this year. I do know Boca Juniors lost Carlos Tevez and Carlos Bianchi, but they have Palermo. River Plate still has Mascherano and Salas. SPFC is doing well in the SP State Tournament and Santos is peaking, with Robinho playing great.

Once Caldas lost Henao, and who else from them left the 2004 roster?

I haven't seen Cevallos play with Once yet, they have won 2/2 in Colombia. I will be waiting for his debut in Copa.

Who will it be? Palermo is a sub for copa lib games, the tandem for boca in copa are: palacios(young sensation) AND chelo delgado

salas in River is only bench material, they got el tecla farias to replace him as main forward (Maxi lopez left for barca)

I believe it is fairly safe to predict that a Mexican team will reach the final before a Uruguayan or Paraguayan team.

I don't know about Valentierra, that team lost a lot of depth without him, when they had him when they were champs in Copa Mustang, him and Galvan tore oppenents........games ended 3 - 0, 4 - 0, 2 - 0, 5 - 0.........but they struggled after Valentierra left (and were left without a striker when Galvan left), one thing they missed were his PKs, or they would be World Champs too.

en el coloso recibiran al once Caldas, mas gente y depronto lo dejan vender sus productos de omnilife! :D


siempre estado de acuerdo con este empresario del mercadeo, pero ahora el vato si se equivoca en sus principios: compro al equipo y dijo que tenia que limpiar la camiseta de anuncios publicitarios ( lo hizo al comprar los anteriores contratos de publicidad)- le devolvio una camiseta 'sagrada' y limpia de letreros a su hinchada - MUY BIEN
pero esta semana, le quita un juego a su gente y sua cancha, es que el jalisco no se respeta? me parece muy mal hecho.... Una vez mas, se nota quer lo unico que le interesa son juegos internacionales, pero no complacer a sus fanaticos! No parece el espiritu de copa libertadores que respeta a sus canchas como sitios sagrados, al igual que sus camisetas.

Mi opinión es muy sencilla: Vergara es un empresario, y claro que va a vender sueños, desde que entró no ha hecho otra cosa. La idea de tener un partido de las Chivas en el Azteca ha dividido a la afición, pero yo diría que la mayor parte de la afición está de acuerdo (de los que no están en Guadalajara, recuerden que las Chivas es un fenómeno nacional, con literalmente 30-50 millones de "chivahermanos" desperdigados por el país y el extranjero). Aunque el Azteca es la casa del América, también podría decirse que es la segunda casa de las Chivas porque en el clásico nacional hay más aficionados Chivas que guajolotes americanistas en el mismo Azteca.

El partido al fin y al cabo en el Azteca no se hizo, pero es probable que a Cobreloa o a San Lorenzo le toque ser recibido por 40,000 aficionados Chivas en el estadio Azul de la Ciudad de México. Que teniendo en cuenta todo lo anterior, a mí tampoco me parece mala idea en absoluto (claro que hay gente, especialmente en Guadalajara, que no está de acuerdo).
