I know he hasn't had much chance to prove himself and i know he's fairly good from seeing him at Rangers and Real Sociedad, but Saturday could be his big chance to make an impression as he might just play the whole game!
How do you think he'll fair?

I'm reserving my judgment until he plays a little more. Right now, the jury is still out.

I made this thread a little prematurely but hopefully it'll stick around until after Saturday. Just ever since the Chelsea game there's been a lack of activity on the board and the fact i can't sleep. :)

against Southampton he didn't do anything to impress me, but looked good against Chelsea. mind you, like people have said, it's very early days yet.
we should all get a chance to see what he's like today; there's a very good chance he'll start against Man Utd.

I watched the full Villa game and I have to say that Arteta looked pretty sharp. His passes were crisp and well-targeted and he was involved in a lot of plays. He's one of the reasons our midfield ran the show yesterday. He's got potential.
