Which best describes your current status with the MLS Shootout PPV package?

Technically a write in vote for "Digital Cable System Doesn't Carry it." I tried to get ppv for the playoffs but Insight in Lexington is not carrying them.

I would like to but my girlfriend will leave me if I devote anymore time to soccer (i.e. playing, watching, managing my team, posting on BS). ;)

Besides, there are actually games from FWS that I have taped but haven't gotten around to watching. Don't know what I would do to try and keep up with the shoot out package.

I had it last season (and the season before), but DirecTV's lack of games last season prompted me to not re-up. Of course this season I hear DirecTV has the full goods, but I'm no longer a satellite user (digital cable is now a better choice, economically, with the combo deal w/cable modem). While Comcast doesn't carry FSW, they do carry FSW Espanol, which, for now, is enough.

Not that I'm against the Shootout, but I'll not subscribe again until I know for sure I'll get ALL Shootout games.

My only complaint about MLS Shootout is
all the games are basically at the same time. If my team has a home game, I'm lucky if I can catch the last half of the West coast games.

I specifically got Dish satellite because I heard they had the best shootout package! Now this year they don't carry midweek games. I'd switch to DirectTV, but who knows what the story will be next year.

I would like to, but I'm only 14, and my parents aren't willing to shell it out, nor is my allowence enough to cover it.

Cable companies (ATT & Charter) both have iNDemand, but neither one in my areas show shootout package. :(

Shootout isn't offered on my local cable's non digital households. Cox Communication's says Digital cable will be in the area shortly but they've been saying that for 2 years now. So I go to summer's for all the MLS games I want to see that I can't.

I voted "no but would like to". My POS Cablevision cable system does not carry MLS shootout. Tried to get satellite dish but would have entailed positioning the dish on the ground or cutting down trees, neither of which was attractive to me, and the local channel selection was terrible*.

I think with a little more effort I could get the dish, (and probably will) since Cablevision does not appear to be thinking about offering Fox Sports World, M LS Shootout or OLN ( it's one of my favorites despite not carrying soccer)

*I live in a part of CT where by FCC rules the cable system is apparently required to carry NYC over the air station while CT legislation requires the system to carry CT over the air stations. This situation is great during pointy ball season because I get the NYC and the New England professional and college games.

As long as Cox digital cable here in San Diego offers it, and as long as my girlfriend will put up with me (and it), and as long as I got the loot, I'll be gettin' it.

For $44.10, it's hard to go wrong.

Live in an condo in the city and can't get a dish. AT&T doesn't carry.

I subscribed via cable in 2000 and 2001, but after two years of having to call the AT&T drones dozens of times to get games turned on that I had already subscribed to, I declined to subscribe this year. This decision greatly improved my quality of life.

If you support MLS and you CAN get the Shootout but choose not to...

I don't get it.

What S'ski said but insert "POS ATT Broadband San Mateo" in place of "POS Cablevision." I'm going with a dish next year unless ATT gets its act together in my area. And, hopefully, MLS will ink its deals at least a few weeks before the start of the season next year.

The enjoyment of watching the games did not outweigh the stress of dealing with the cable company. Especially since many times when I wanted to watch a game I had to call the cable company and wait on hold and miss the first half. And now I never have to come home after work after recording a 4:30 pm Wednesday game and find a tape with two hours of black screen. I can now enjoy the simple pleasure of logging on to MLSNET and just finding the score. And as a non-subscriber I'm getting as many playoff games via the Shootout this year as I did last year as a subscriber. Perhaps service was better this year but for my own sanity I gave it up. I'll let my attendance record indicate my level of support for MLS.

Yes. Keeping one's sanity is an important consideration.

Not compared to watching soccer.

One of the main reasons I bought DirecTV was because I wanted the MLS Shootout and the Howard Stern Show on E! (our cable company switched E! with Bravo at night).

I bought DirecTV the first year the Shootout was available, which was either the '97 or '98 season. I think it was '98.
