Lol, after 2 years of saying Internet Explorer is no longer a stand alone app and that there were no plans to release a new version until the release of the next version of Windows (Longhorn) they've changed their mind. Basically IE6 is so full of holes they're losing maket share to Firefox and have pressed the panic button.

I'll stick with FF thanks.

I'll also stick with FF. But not after upgrading to IE 7 for security reasons. Even though I don't use IE, 6.0 is still on my system.
And they're gonna continue to lose market share until they realize the power of tabbed browsing.

I'll upgrade, but I don't expect I'll ever switch back. FireFox rules.

Of course, I know what Microsoft will do.
"Now changing registry"
"Now setting Microsoft IE as your default browser"
"Now setting Microsoft Outlook as your default mail program"
Thankfully all that stuff can be set back under 2 minutes.
Microsoft gives me the finger.
I enjoy giving them an even bigger one back.

They'll never dump ActiveX, and will therefore never, EVER be as safe as Firefox.
