...anyone know more about this guy? He's apparently in camp with the San Jose Earthquakes (played against US U-20s this morning)...

All I can find on searches is references to places he's played, but no material of substance about the guy, other than he's played for Valladolid, trialed at Newcastle, and was apparently on Argentina's WC98 side. What kind of a player is he? Would he fit in over here? Is this even the same guy?

I for one would be surprised if the Quakes signed him. I don't think we need to spend a SI slot on defender, especially with Wade back. I remeber seeing him on the national team, but sort of fell off the radar. Will have to check the stats to see if he's gotten significant playing time lateley ...

He didn't convince coaches at Ferro (Nacional B) ... Apperantly he has had some major ligament damage in his knees since 1999 which is why he has barely played. In this article (Jan 30,2005) he states he has some offer from e"el exterior" probably which I guess turned out to ne MLS ...
