It's been a while. Sorry but it's been a really hectic last 3 months. The other day I received a message saying that a new supporter had signed up for my team. Turns out it was a guy from the Netherlands with a similar team name as mine. How does that work?

I also have my arch rival as one of my supporters, I guess there's no benefit for the supported just a bragging right. I think they can check on your team and see your last match and stuff like that.

He probably just liked the fact that your team naes were similar. Getting "supporters" that are other teams has nothing to do with your supporter club--it's just a feature that allows teams to show their backing of other teams. The 5 teams I support are all BigSoccer users that helped me a lot when I first joined and that have become my friends both here and on hattrick.

Any team can view your past matches. Your supportes just know when you a) get online (if they are alos online) and b) make a press announcement. Youi can also send a newsletter (mass ht-mail) to your supporters.

Of course, the only way to either become a supporter or get a supporter is to pay HT some money to get their "supporter" package, which alos includes that ability to make a logo, change your uniform colors, make press announcements, (and the two most important benefits) join 5 federations, and save 50 teams, players, series, games, or conference users as bookmarks.

This feature I like the most. For example, I have Jean Jeter bookmarked as a player (the recent week 1 USA 17yo YP, that caused the discussion about his future training due to his skill set). This morning I was online and when his club owner transfer listed him this morning, I got a newsflash letting me know. Great for tracking players that you think are too high listed and don't get sold. You can bookmark him and get notification, if you are online, that the player has been re-listed.

Jeter has been listed? Time for an American PM trainer to snap him up.
I have a spare $6 million just laying around ...

I have a guy in my series from St. Louis that supports me, he just came up from VI this season. I also had the guy that just promoted out of my series start supporting me, I'm up to 12 supporters now I think.
