The Clash of the Titans is finally here! Ok, so BVB is NOT nearly the powerhouse that they have been in the past, but the history is still behind this match. If you're a player that can't get up for this match, then you need to retire.

I see Bayern Munich winning this match 3-1.

Ballack out a blessing in disguise? I would think so, no point throwing in a player after just coming back from injury or sickness without any training.

Yea, a 3-1 victory would be sweet, then again. I thought we'd have it easy against F'N Arminia!!!!!!!!!!

Ballack out doesn't mean anything either, this team proved time and time again this season that they can perform well without Michael.

yes, i prefer a creative midfielder behind the 2 strikers. Scholl or Deisler should take the role. Otherwise, switch to 4-3-3, so all key players can play :)

-----------Makaay/Guerro

Scholl/Zeroberto------Pizarro/Deisler

--Frings------------Owen / Sweisteiger

----------Ballack

--Liza ---Lucio --kovac---sagnol

---------Kahn

So glad YOU brought this up... I feel like I am beating a deadhorse when I do (okay... so I am). ;)

I say yes. It is a blessing in disguise. YOu need only look at last match for your answer.

I will also go out on a "limb" and say we will win this game with Frings in the center of the park. He will perform brilliantly, because as suggested many times before, he is alone in the middle, the spotlight is on him, and Ballack isn't their to get in each other's way.

That being said, here is my lineup for the match:

...................Kahn
Sagnol... Lucio... Kovac... Brazzo
..................Frings
Hargreaves............ Ze/Schweiny
..................Scholl
..........Pizarro...... Makaay

Guerrero on in the second half for Pizarro. Ze for Schweiny or Schweiny for Ze depending on who starts as well. Perhaps Deisler in for Scholl late in the game.

Other possible lineup:

.................Kahn
Sagnol....Lucio...Kovac... Brazzo
..............Hargreaves
Schweiny................Ze Roberto
.................Frings
........Pizzaro......Makaay

Bring on Scholl and Guerrero at the break for Schweiny and Pizzaro. Push Frings to Center mid and move Hargreaves to Right side. Scholl at the spot behind Guerrero and Makaay. Ze Roberto out for Deisler late in the half.

I like your 1st lineup, looking back to the last 8 games, we've never done well without Scholl behind the front 2.

eissman, we are right. I feel ever so often even when Hitzfeld was in charge that a player, a minute after recovering from injury would be thrown into the sqad after limited or no training time. Most of the time it has a negative effect.

Frings can perform as the lone central midfield "playmaker", we've seen it with Bayern and with Germany.

I say Frings and Hargreaves in Central Mid no matter whether Ballack is declared fit or not.

btw Rosicky is still injured no?

BMGuy and Senior BOXES...you both got your wish.

Projected lineups on FCBAYERN.de:

................Kahn
Brazzo...Lucio...Kovac...Liza
............Hargreaves
Sagnol....................Scholl
...............Frings
.......Pizarro.......Makaay

I know when Gorlitz was healthy, Sagnol played ahead of him at RM, but I still like him at RB instead. I am not so sure Liza is an adaquate solution at LB... I still think we are stronger with Brazzo and Sagnol on the ends in back.

Boy... Ze Roberto and Schweinsteiger sure don't seem to be consistant much since the break. They are in and out of the starting lineup every week.

Also look at how many golas have already been scored in the other matches as well
