Ok, so I put the R in so someone wouldn't complain that I ruined it for them.

I enjoyed the first X-Men and am looking forward to the next one.

I was excited to hear that one of my favorite mutants was going to be making an appearance and so far I haven't been dissapointed. Here's a shot of Nightcrawler, so far so good.

Don't know why his pants are split, but hey...

Probably to make way for his tail. Anyway, cool pic. However, I was never much of a Nightcrawler fan. I was dissapointed to learn Gambit wasn't gonna be in X2. I love Remy. But the second seems like it's gonna be cool. Lots of new characters coming up although I don't know how big their roles are gonna be: Colossus, Jubilee, so on.

Gambit supposedly will make a cameo apperrance. Kinda Jubilee and Iceman did on the first one.

god... gambit came around the time that comics were no longer about stories and all about looking gay and utterly stupid... of course in many respects a lot of that crap was brought about by the fall of the mutants saga which crosslinked to the point of stupidity in the line of the beyonder

i'm extremely happy to hear that he will have no real role

i realize that rogue fit the plot for the first film, but it's a disgrace to think of her and logan in the sense that is meant for kitty pryde and everyone's favorite ************ed up ancient canadian

of course, the fuzzy blue elf is pretty damn cool too

is angel or beast going to be about at all?

Gambit is so popular you would think they would have given him a big role in either the 1st or 2nd movie. Well they haven't done that and it's a big mistake in my opinion.

Well the movie seemed to do pretty well withought Gambit and the second will most likely do well without a major presence from him as well.

When I think of X-Men, Gambit is no where near the top of my list. I think Wolverine, Jean Grey, Beast, Cyclops, Nightcrawler, Iceman and Storm. Maybe this is because I grew up reading the earlier comics before all the new ones (who I can't even name).

I'm not a big Gambit fan either but he is the most popular X-Man right with Wolverine. Gambit is certainly more popular than Nightcrawler, Colossus,Cyclops and any of the females. X-men's popularity exploded in the 90's and that's when he was introduced when readership and interest was at an all time high when guys like Jim Lee were working on the books.

Any word yet on the storyline for this one? I'd be curious to see if they can pull of their best multi-issue storyline ever (the Brood), although some folks who didn't read the comics might think it's too close to Alien...

when i think of x-men, i think of x-factor

scott, jean gray, bobby, warren, hank, xavier

when i think of the new x-men, i think of...

logan, storm, psylocke (sp?), kitty cat, colossus, magneto, nightcrawler, rogue

i think a cool story line would have been "future, past, imperfect" or whatever it's exact title was... a flashforward to an alternate time line in which the sentinels have enslaved the mutants and the time line from which rachel summers (the pheonix of x-calibur) is from... xavier and others are dead, mutants are branded with "M"'s

some of the best x-men story lines have magneto in charge of the academy... same with the new mutants... great conflicts

i also liked when the x-men "died" in dallas... the beginning of the end of the scott-madeline-jean gray triangle

i truly liked how good and evil characters crossed sides through out marvel comics... magneto, banshee, the brotherhood of evil mutants, angel/archangel, the pheonix, etc.

ah well

I wish I could say something about this, but I cannot.

I'll just wait until the movie comes out.

I thought I'd bring this back, since according to IMDB, Vinnie Jones will be playing Juggernaut in X-Men 3

Does anyone still read the comics? I read Uncanny and X-Men (2nd series)...and all the other X-books...from about 1991-1996. Ah...memories. Still like the movies though.

I still read them, most of them but not all.

From things I've been hearing about this I've got a sick feeling that Ratner's going to ******** this one up.

You know it, I read Uncanny X-men too, back when Joe Madureira drew them, right now the only X-book I read is Astonishing X-Men, it's well worth picking up.
