one of the most underrated/undervalued players around, imo!!!
what a game by him today... almost didnt miss ballack...
his workrate, leadership, versatility (!!!), and techincal ability are all amazing...
one of my favorite players for both bayern and germany!!!
i just thought he deserves special mention, cos i dont like seeing the less glamorous people in the team not get their due (two threads on guererro - gimme a break! )

Couldn't agree more... my theory has always been that Frings and Ballack in by themselves are invaluable... but strangely enough, they seem less effective when in together (?!?!?!)... I know, crazy talk, but I think they relish the opportunities when one is not in the starting lineup. That is when you really see them step up.

I think you're right about that...and I really wonder why, together they should be the best midfield pairing in the world......but it doesn't seem to work out that way does it?
And Frings deserves all the credit he can get, he should have had 2 goals yesterday. The guy, if he controls his fouling, could be worthy of the captains armband.

He already has one, it's "Lutscher", that means "sucker" in english. :D
He got the nickname when he was in Bremen, but unfortunately I forgot the story behind it.

I'm with you. Not a big Guererro fan, myself. Give some love to the little known guys.

Thorsten Frings is wonderful, he can play anywhere on the pitch and has been solid on defence and productive on offense. Any one remember the goal he scored from a spot kick against Holland in Euro 2004 just after the transfer. Oh almost like foreshadowing a great spand in Munich!

How could we forget...it was one-half of the goals that they scored at the tournament!!!
Let's hope that the scoring of a mistake goal was not a foreshadowing of any kind...for Bayern's sake.
I do think he is starting to come into his own at FCB, and he played a heck of a game against Arse-n-all.
