Since Figo told R. Madrid that this was his last year with the club, they're lookin to offload him. Figo said he wanted to come to England, and right now it looks like he's looking at Liverpool and Tottenham.

Says that Rafa said he needed a right midfielder with Smicer out.

If he's willing to not ask for a huge salary, do you guys think it'd be a good pickup...even with his age?

10M for a guy who probably only has at best 2 seasons left at the top level. I would pass and look for a younger prospect with tremendous potential. There are a few of those in the French and Dutch leagues.

You have to take www.realmadrid.dk with a grain of salt. It's almost as bad as tribalfootball. Figo may go to Liverpool, but it won't be for a fee anywhere near 10 million pounds.

I'm not convinced he would solve our RW problems, but he'd help in the short term. Like Matt said, if he is free and cheap, why not.

i am in fact rather confident that he may just do pretty well.. at least it will give liverpool more time to scout for a rw.. from what i see in liverpoo, almost all the wing attacks come from riise alone, really tiring for him. figo wants his contract to end one year early..

I liked Figo before Real picked him up for the biggest transfer fee ever. He's just never clicked for them. I'd like him if the "Price is right"
He reminds me of "Laughing boy" Giggs when he makes a run.
