I'm more excited than ever this season about Bayern's chances in the Champions League, they've impressed tremendously so far, at home and in Europe and I can't wait for the Arsenal clash. Unfortunately ESPN won't give us in the US the luxury of watching it.
So what I'm going to do is go to Nevada Smiths, a bar in downtown NYC to watch it. What about all of you ?

Probably in a bar or with some friends in front of the TV. Nobody needs Pay TV when there's the opportunity to watch it with many other fans in a pub, it's much more fun when you can shout, sing and spill beer at others. :D

well- the game is on a Tuesday. Game starts approx 1:45pm my time (Minnesota) --and I usually have a reference meeting (I am an Academic Librarian) here is what I do. I have UEFA.com and FCB Radio (pay) both going for approx 20 minutes--yes I always show up late to my meeting ;)
If they start the meeting by working on the schedule--I leave for about 10 minutes and come back to my office --continue FCB bliss. Unfortunately I always have to get back to the meeting and that usually goes past the finih of the game. As I said, I do have the pay for service so I can watch highlights or the whole game afterwards. Not the best, but I gotta take what I can get. psssst--don't tell my directors!! :D

since im at work all day (software development), i will only be able to follow the game from here - either by live commentary, or hopefully via a streaming link from somewhere...
audio commentary is no good either, cos i dont have speakers (not important for my work :( ), so its either text or video or livescore.com (please no!)
anybody gonna be around to do PBP's?

Whichever team SAT1 shows...if i had the choice though, i would watch bremen in the CL. Even when they lose, they play extremely nice football, and so i would be more pleased to see them play. On top of that, my country-mate Lisztes, is slowly getting back and so there may be a chance of seeing him later on in the competition if they reach the quarterfinals.

I will be here, at work , so I won't watch the score and when I go home I have the whole 90 min. on FCB Champions.... not the best solution but.. better then nothing ;)

Yes it's time for Lisztes to come back, by the way he is my country-mate too ;)

You may want to check into your local provider, but here we have a Latino package with Cox Comm. that includes ESPNDeportes and Fox Sports en Espanol, I believe it costs around $5.00 extra a month but look what you get for coverage on the CL matchdays:

There are some repeats and overlap with ESPN2, but for that many games, a bargain for what you pay. Not to mention the other channels and their individual league coverages.

As a computer teacher at a middle school, I pretty much will be "watching" the game on the ticker (UEFA and Bayern's ticker). I can and will likely do some play by play but unlike the PBP-masters on this board (much respect).
I am hoping to find a BIT-TORRENT for this match... if anyone finds one, please post the link ;)

I don't live in NY anymore - so Nevada Smiths is not an option. There's a small Armenian snackbar here in L.A. with ESPN Deportes - but they charge $20 - I will not look at any websites until later that day and then watch the whole game on UEFA.com
I hope DishTV will include ESPN Deportes soon. But I can't complain - ProSiebenSat1 Welt shows Bundesliga live every Sat and Sun.

I have been to Nevada Smiths for many games. I am from the NY area. The crowd is very pro UK during intl. matches (i.e. England, Scotland and Ireland). You will definitely be in the minority. It is an English pub, are there will be a large Gunner's contingent there.
However, it is a great atmosphere to drink and watch football in NYC, and is rated by many publications in the US as one of the best places to watch footy this side of the pond...
I have worn both Deutschland and Bayern kits to the bar and lived to tell about it. I did get some serious crap from the Scots when they played against Deu, however after not backing down they left me and the 7 other German fans alone...You will have a great time. If I can get off of work, I would love to join you...which will probably make 2 FCB fans in the pub.

If anyone gets TSN (a Canadian sports network?) here is there schedule of games:
http://www.tsn.ca/soccer/feature.asp?fid=1084
Do Dish Network or Direct TV carry this channel? Isn't this the same channel that covered the Tour de France each day?

Haha, thanks for the info. I was wondering If I wore my jersey if I would be able to make it out alive and watch the second leg. I'm looking forward to it.
