Well definitely not Diao, who is an artless clodhopper. Hard to say about Diarra, given that I doubt any of us has ever actually seen the lad play. Although his normal position, central midfield, does rather work against him as things stand.
Not Diouf either - I don't care how well he's doing at Bolton, he just doesn't fit. Cheyrou? Not on the basis of anything he has done for Liverpool or anything he has done (or not, actually) for Marseille since being sent on loan.
Vignal might be interesting - he's always had the ability, he's just lacked the opportunity and/or temparament to make the grade.

I saw Diarra play against PSG on Sunday. He scored an impressive header from a free kick in the 2-0 win. He is a strong, imposing player who would be a solid back up to Didi.

Give that young lad a chance until he's 'tested and rejected' like the rest. ;)

I saw the same match and he did perform quite well --- I'd like to see what he could do with the Liverbird on his kit :D

How long is Alonso out for?
Hopefully he can come back sometime this season, but that seems unlikely. Otherwise he will be back at the start of next season.

The trainers are saying next season, Alonso says he should be back before the end.
As for Diarra, what kind of player is he? He's the only loan player I don't know anything about.

I think Bruno has a lot of potential. He rarely starts for Marseille, when I do see him play (substituted) he does quite well. He even scored a couple of goals.

Its mancunian math --- everything inconsequential is doubled.
