FCB is coming off an unimpressive win vs. Bayer 04. I think they will be looking to regain a solid form. Bayern will whip up on Bielefeld......2-0.

I think Guerrero should get a start alongside Makaay for this game,he has impressed me in all the games he's played for Bayern this season and Pizzaros form away from home isn't great.Bayern will also need a seriously good goal scorer once Makaay retires or moves on and Guerrero could just be the person to fill the void,so he must be given as many chances as possible to improve

haha,im not exactly sure,i just saw one of their games on tv when i was like 6 and supported them ever since.I try to see as many games as i can,but i am only 15 so is kinda hard.Obviously there some net sites, and some champions league games/lBundesliga highlights come on TV. Only live games i actually went to see them play were against Celtic in glasgow last year and againt Rangers a couple of years ago, both in the Champions league, and if i recall both finished 0-0 lol. When im 18 im planning to go to the Oktoberfest with my dad,to get really, really drunk and watch some fine football at our new stadium. And yes, edinburgh is a lovely city

Mehmet Scholl rejoined the squad for the first time since twisting a knee in Berlin.
"Seeing Mehmet train again is really good news," a delighted Magath commented. The 34 year-old remains doubtful for Sunday's trip with the coaching staff set to keep a close eye on his progress over the next few days.

Great story! I love hearing how people got drawn to a particular club or just in general to The Beautiful Game.

Catfish -- I understand your point... "unimpressive" meaning not attacking for the most part... but, I must disagree. I think the win against Bayer04 was impressive on a few fronts:
(a) team defense -- absolutely shut down the potent Bayer04 attack, primarily in the midfield... Bayer were visibly frustrated.
(b) clean sheet -- again, Kahn and the back line were inpregnable, arguably against the most lethal offense in the Bundesliga so far this year.
(c) capitalized on the golden opportunities "granted" to them... sure the goals were not necessarily spectacular, but timely nonetheless. There were a number of squandered opportunities (Guerrero chip, Schweini drive just inside the 18, Ballack point blank header, Lucio's header) in the first half alone. Put some of those away and wow... this game is broken wide open.
(d) with a "make shift" lineup of sorts (Frings in back, Ze at attacking mid, Guerrero up top) the team made another stride towards their goal... the league title.
(e) JPG. Guerrero is just amazing isn't he? Impressive. I have yet to see him play at all and was excited to see the chances he creates (the near combination with Makaay in the second half off the endline was brilliant). I hope we see more of this young man!!

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to eissman again.
Thanks Eissman for the more detailed account of the match. I was only following the PbP that BigSoccer posters were providing mixed with the German commentators on Bundesliga.com (which I could not really understand, since I do not know German).

The very quick answer. Back in the 70's and early 80's, like most of my fellow countryman (Yanks), I came to enjoy a show called "Soccer Made In Germany" which played edited games from the Bundesliga.

Haha Carey, yeh us scots are passionate about our football, and we do tend to swear a hell of a lot,and get drunk a lot, lol, pity ur first match wasn't exactly a classic but hey,at least you witnessed one of the best atmospheres in the world and Bayern didnt get beat so wasnt all bad. Ah,k deadfingers, well i guess Bayern were probably the best team in the world during the mid 70's so i can see the attraction, good to see you stuck with them.

FCBAYERN.DE Lineup:
Bayern Munich: Kahn - Sagnol, Lucio, Kovac, Lizarazu - Hargreaves, Frings, Ballack, Zé Roberto - Makaay, Pizarro
Sounds as though Ballack could be doubtful, but Scholl is healthy. I am not quite sure what everyone's rush is to eliminate Brazzo from the lineup... I mean he was probably the most consistent performer for the entire first half of the season. Apparently the media really like to see the French bookends of defense back in action, I don't know (??).
I say, if Ballack is healthy, then the lineup stays as is will Brazzo at LB and Sagnol in at RB, Frings back in the middle with Ballack and Pizarro up top with Makaay. If Ballack is not healthy, then Scholl plays in behind the strikers, Frings assumes his mid-week role for Ballack, and all else remains the same.
Eissman's prediction:
................Kahn
Sagnol...Lucio...Kovac...Brazzo
..........Ballack (Frings)
Hargreaves.......Ze Roberto
...........Frings (Scholl)
........Pizarro.....Makaay
Bring in Guerrero for Pizarro, Schweinsteiger for Ze Roberto, Liza for Brazzo in the second half.
