probably a Mexican. They are more likely to pound the snot out of more teams in that Hex than anybody else. Otherwise, if he plays all the games, Wanchope would have a decent shot.

sid's right. nusum and lake are gone. other than lozano, borghetti has 4 goals on stern and ruiz. of course i believe ruiz will score more than stern. it looks tough but borghetti looks like he'll have the most. how many does francisco "kikin" have? is it four?

First stage shouldnt even count......
why should the first stage not count? there a big part of the qualification. they should totally count.

It should technically count, but its not a good measure of the who is the best scorer since Mexico beat up on the the three weakest teams they could have possibly faced (Dominica, St Kitts, St Vincent)

I also think that the 1st stage should not count. The competition was terrible in the 1st round.

Because you guys scored 18 goals in two games against Dominica, not even the Dominican Republic just Dominica. Mexico should have just gotten a bye to the hex with the joke compitition they got in the first and second stage. I think Borgetti or Lozano have a good shot to lead the hex but John, Ruiz, and Johnson will round out the top 5 with Donovan and Wanchope tied for sixth.

Its gonna be Kikin if this a new start. Borgetti if the table of goals isnt refreshed.

if tables are refreshed, Eddie Johnson will score the most goals, followed by fellow MLSer Carlos Ruiz. i'm not even a fan of MLS and i don't think these are the best goalscorers but Guatemala has a decent midfield core and only the one good striker (Ruiz), and the US seems like a team that can support a big goalscorer. Mexico just scores too much with too many different people, hopefully not true when playing against the US

Do you want to bet on this as he finish first.

Wanchope for my money. He's clinical at this stage, and he doesn't have to deal with Steve Sampson's ridculousness anymore.
