Everton play Southampton on Sunday -- should be a tough one for us to win. Last time around, we beat them 1-0 at Goodison. I guess one good thing about the stats is that they've given up a whole lot more goals than we have (their 41 to our 25). If we can keep a clean sheet (luckily Martyn is back), we can probably beat them. I'm going with 1-0 Everton.

Tape delay on FSW 1pm ET/12pm CT

I was going to go to the game but all the away tickets were sold out. :( Still it's live on Sky Sports.

It's no surprise that with Martyn back we kept a clean sheet. The reason for our little blip was because of Wright. Not that's Wright's a bad goalie but he's been out far too long and made some really bad errors. Like against Middlesbrough, a game we should of won.

I don't like predicting Everton results.

But if I was Moyes I'd go for.....

Overall head to head record in the league is 37-16-22 in favor of Everton. But I have to hope, sorry folks, that Harry will get Saints up for this one to take all 3 points at St. Marys. They could really use them. Not that Everton couldn't use 3 in their fight for 3rd. :)

Great result for you guys. We've all seen how crucial each point can be when you get down to business. I remember we had two or three last gasp equalizers/game winners coming down the stretch in the battle with Chelsea two years ago, and how much they meant. You all must be pleased as punch.

I find it curious that Southampton never used a sub, even in the last five or ten minutes when you guys finally started getting some meaningful possession. Was anyone watching/listening to the game who might have some insight on that? Did Harry lay down for a nap after they went up? (Actually, come to think of it, that's not all that unlikely . . . :) )

Superb result for us. I'd have settled for a point before the game started as Saints really need the points as well.

Well done Blues. Again another goal with virtually the last kick of the game!!! :D :D

We were a bag of shite today,

Martyn was reliable as always even though he decided to dive out the way of Camara's shot to give them a 2-1 lead. Stubbs and Weir looked shaky at the back for the first time, while Cahill, Carsley, and Kilbane were crap. Stupid beanpole that is Crouch, was an annoying git. I knew he was going to score with the amount of Set pieces Southampton had. The worst thing that happened to us in the game was actually going 1 up so early, we sat back and you just don't sit back against a team like Southampton who love crossing the ball in the box.

Still, we drew 2-2 and the neighbours must have thought that someone was getting murdered in my house when Bent scored that goal in the last minute. :D One kopite would have got murdered if he never.

given how poorly we played, getting a point was a bit of a steal....

I'm on my knees, I thought we (Saints) played very well, super Henri Camera was spent with ten to go. People were leaving in the 89th minute, did they not learn from the 'Boro game? I fear relegation is coming...sob...sob.

The more I think of it, the more I think it was more of Southampton playing well rather than us playing crap. Harry Rednapps tactics really paid off and they won the redshite 2-0 at St Mary's only two games ago playing the same way. Southampton won't be relegated if they play like that for the rest of the season. We were still crap though :D
