If everyone is healthy, I'd like to see this (just once to see how it works out):

.................Given
...Taylor...Boumsong...Babayaro
.............Butt....Faye
...Bowyer.....Jenas.....Robert
.........Shearer....Ameobi/Paddy K

Seriously doubt it will happen, but oh well.

You think that Souness will start Kluivert?

I know he's made a big show of giving Ameobi his shot, but they didn't create a whole lot of opportunites yesterday.

See Paddy K man. When he played for Barca. Outstanding. But there are some players that dont suit the Premier League. And i think he is one.

Ps. Ameobi is sh!t. Simple as that.

Somewhere I read that the mistake that people have made with Kluivert is playing him as a target man up front. This pundit (can't remember where) claimed his talents were best suited to play the midfield.

I though that's what Sir Bobby was going to do with him... and keep Shearer and Bellamy up top.

Oh well.

---
Edit: the thing is, and this drives me nuts. He always seems to be looking to make the pass instead of taking the freaking shot on goal. Like he thinks he's Bergkamp or something.

if we go by mel's conclusion, we currently have a classsy striker.. and the rest are gone~~~~
by the end of the season we will have 0 decent strikers..
its really a little worrying
btw. havetn heard much from chopra lately.. should be given a chance in the 1st team..

Right. NUFC is a big buisness. And do you think for one moment they will let that senario fall in to place. I dont either. Paddy K was only a stop gap. And Chopra is learning his trade. I'm really really excited about Michael.

Last time I checked, Chopra was Barnsley's leading scorer in League 1 with 11 goals.

BBC Radio Newcastle reported on Tuesday that Jean-Alain Boumsong was ready to resume training after recovering from a hamstring.

That means that apart from Robbie Elliott, Souness has a full squad to select his side from with no known injury problems.

I had heard that Boumsong would be fit for the game, but I had not seen anything concrete about it. Good news.
