1. World Cup Qualifier Match viewing for USA v. Trinidad, Wed., February 9th, 8:00PM
The US plays it's first game of the 2006 World Cup Hexagonal Qualifier next Wednesday at the Yanks travel to the tropics to take on Trinidad and Tobago.
The US players and the US Soccer federation have ended their stand off, and Bruce's full national team will be on display, paychecks in hand, ready to begin punching the ticket for Germany in 2006.
We urge everyone to make it out to Nathan Hale's for the game.
It is being shown live on ESPN2 at 2:30pm (also at Hale's) and we will pop in the tape and watch it at 8PM as well after we're all done paying dues to the man from 9 to 5.
Drink specials, good food, warm hospitality and the ever popular vocal stylings of the Metro area's chanting soccer poets.
U.S. Men National Team vs. Trinidad & Tobago

Location: Queen's Park Oval (Port of Spain, Trinidad)
Nathan Hale's is conveniently located near the 1/2/3/4/5/6/9/A/C/E/R/W and Path trains in downtown Manhattan. (Chambers St./Park Place/City Hall stops).
Note: We will not be selling/distributing memberships on February 9th, however if you'd like to stop by and pay for your 2005 ESC membership, you can do so between 8 and 10pm, and we will mail it to you the first week in March when the memberships go on sale.
2. Save the date: ESC Press Roundtable/Membership Drive
We are working on planning a Press Roundtable and Membership drive for Saturday, March 5th.
Our plans are subject to change and we will try to keep you informed, but we look to have a press roundtable as last year, a membership drive, and some old school Metrostars video game highlights. Last year's event was a great time, so please keep an eye out for the date and try to come to this year's event.
3. USA vs. Guatemala and 2005 Kick Off Party, Wednesday March 30th
We are also working on a watch party for the USA- Guatemala game on Wednesday, March 30th at 8pm. (live from Legion Field, Alabama). As the Metrostars season opens that Saturday (April 2nd) with a home game against Real Salt Lake (aka, Metro Rejects Sent Left), we're looking to have a big party with a live band. You will be able to watch the US beat the flopping fish of Carlos Ruiz's Guatemala, pick up a membership if you haven't already, and hang out with the boys as we get set for 2005.
So, we look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, and please keep in mind the upcoming roundtable date of March 5th and the US game on March 30th.
(yes, there is also a USA- Mexico game on Sunday, March 27th. At current, no party is planned as the game is on a Sunday at 1pm, but we will keep our options open).
