Los Andes is in la B NACIONAL I think, and the season dosen't start until 2 weeks or so.

Of all the teams, why care about Los Andes????

I almost got my ass kicked at a Los Andes game. One time a friend who was an All Boys fan invited me to a match against Los Andes. After the game the barra brava of Los Andes began chanting 'Aserrin, Aserran, de Lomas no se van' and then they started fighting. It was getting dark and there were like hundreds of them and just a few of us. My friend told me to run and so I did. Somehow I made it to the train station, but I didn't see my friend anywhere. I saw him a couple of days latter and they had throughly kicked his ass. Fortunately nothing major, just a black eye and bruises all over his body. I swore I never again will go to a 'B' match on the road, and I never did.

Just out of curiosity, I was wondering if you think that the rivalries in the ascenso are bigger than primera in the sense that they are more "del barrio"
That is the impression that i get when I listen to mundo ascenso on the internet. I love that show. I think its better than the show they have on radio continental.

No doubt about it. Being a fan of All Boys, for example, is not the same about being a fan of Boca. It is much more intimate, in a way. In the 'B', the stadiums are small, the fans which show up every Saturday all know each other. They have a closer relationship with their players, and with the the team officials, (who are usually guys who used to be in the bleachers with everybody else, and who still hang out with the regular fans.) They also know well their opponents and their fans. But it does get out of control and security is poor. That is why it is best to stick to home games, and to stay away from matches against teams with notorious barra bravas, like Chacarita or Deportivo Moron. Unless, of course, you enjoy the fighting.

I hear what you saying. I think it last year when Platense barra went and started a fight at game of divisiones inferiores.

The guy that used to co-host the radio show here in the states with Andres Cantor used to play for All Boys ...

Really? What is his name?

You know, Carlitos Tevez used to play for All Boys, before he went to Boca.

I used to be friends with the president of All Boys, but then he got into trouble, with money. I am not sure if he is at fault, but knowing him it wouldn't surprise me.

A second cousin of mine, (who is an active player, was with Almagro when they ascended last time, and played last season with Deportivo Armenio), went to All Boys about five years ago to ask for a tryout, and he made a mistake of telling them that he knew my friend, the former president of the club. He thought it might help him, but they replied, 'hey, if you know that hijo de ********, tell us where he is and where is the money that he took'.

The guy that used to co-host Futbol de Primera was Alejandro Gutman out of San Francisco. Its been years since I've listened to the show because they took if when when Radio Unica was formed. But he used to play on All Boys.

Also my idolo from America, Daniel Alberto Brailovsky, used to play on All Boys I'm pretty sure as well.

I love listening to this show called El Alargue. On the weekend edition, the host appearantly is a big El Porvenir fan along with a couple of guys that do the show with him. Out of curiosity, I started vaguely to follow El Porve ...
maybe I should switch to All Boys :)

Very well said, the teams or better yet the games in the B division sometimes are more passionate then the ones played in the first division.I myself is a Deportivo Moron fan,Aguante el GALLITO ! ! They have a friendly relationship with the barra bravas from River Plate which to me comes in handy. They have the same colors and same flag styles and all, RIver at one time used to supply the Gallito fans with flags and also backup in the worst rivarly games. The stadiums are smaller so the tension at the games are outtahand but you also have to be very carefull most stadiums in the second divisions are located mostly in intimate neighborhoods rather then in the city and if you dont know your way around you can be in trouble especially if your caught wearing the wrong colors.

One time el Gallito was playing Laferrere which dont have the same amount of fans but they are all villeros in other words crazy arse mofos from the poor villas and once the game was over the Gallito fans left all their flags in the stadium and went after the the Laferrere fans inwhich they were no more then 300 all together, but when the barra of gallito fans got to the gate they found themselves with police in riot uniform shooting out rubber bullets and after a few got hit with those everything calmed down real quick LoL. Crazy but fun to watch at the same time what can I say.

But that doesnt compare the clasicos vs Nueva Chicago,Chacarita,Quilmes, and All Boys where at one time like 10 years ago Moron and Los Andes fans were friends, till one day all 22 players went at it and that was the end of that relationship.

sangreazul,

You might be interested to hear that your idol Daniel Brailovsky works for Espn in Mexico. I listen to a sports show originating from Radio Capital in Mexico City which is available in Tijuana and Brailovsky is on there discussing Mexican futbol. He's a good commentator.

Man, you were one of those? I used to take the Sarmiento train line all the time, from Moreno to Caballito, and I remember on Saturdays when the Moron fans used to come in and take over the train, on their way to an away game. I tell you, those of us who were not Moron fans, we had to 'hacernos los boludos' and pretend that we were. Dale Moron! Dale Moron! :D
