KH Rummenigge interview.
Kinda surprised about the lack of activity during this transfer window. Not sure what happened with Kuffour. And what the hell is the problem w/ Rau? Uli said he does not feature into future plans. 1 1/2 years left till WC and he can't get a solid game.

we need to offload at least 4 players but Scholl, zickler and jeremies seem not to go anywhere. So only kufour and hashermian look most likely to leave.

Tis odd...
All I can think is in light of the rash of injuries our back line has sustained, we need to hold on to as many healthy bodies as necessary.

would like to see martin petrov sign for bayern this summer as a direct replacement at LM should ze roberto leave...
hes only 25 years old, and is absolutely superb, and would be a good signing at 10-15mn euros... although that is still a pretty high price tag going by bayerns history

I think Liza is a short term solution to Rau, because doesn't P. Lahm come back to Munich next season? He is the long term solution at left back, IMHO. I think Rau will have to find another club to play at all.

From the Interview
Six players are out of contract this summer. Any news to report in this area?
Anybody have that list of who is out of contract?
Didn't they say they wanted to trim the squad by about 4-5 players? It is going to be an interesting summer.

Ze Roberto is out of a contract for sure. I am not sure about Jeremies, but Scholl-Kuffour-Linke-Kovac-Zickler are as well.
Select a player and it will tell you when the contract is up...

Guerrero has signed on for another 2 years, great news because this guy has immense talent.
Kovac and Ze Roberto contract extentions seem to be stalling.
I guess the management will be more willing to give what Kovac wants rather than Ze Robeto. If Ze doesn't lower his demands, his exit this summer is more than likely.

Bayern Munich are ready to make a move for Werder Bremen defender Valerien Ismael.
The former Crystal Palace stopper has been imperious for Werder since moving to The Weser Stadion in 2003 from Strasbourg.
Ismael still has over two years left on his contract at Werder, but Bayern are now gearing up a bid.
The German giants could lose up to three central defenders in the summer with Robert Kovac, Thomas Linke and Sammy Kuffour all set to depart.
Ismael himself has admitted it would be a huge attraction to play for Bayern.
"Bayern is one of the best European teams, along with Juventus and Real Madrid," he said.
"For any player, the chance to play at Bayern is an attractive prospect."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eh?? Where did this come from? Quite surprising actually.
It might be a scare tactic against Kovac since his current form might be inflating his ego and expected wage.
What are your thoughts on Ismael? Good for Bayern?

damn, juve are too clever in transfer. They stole Mutu from chelsea and now want to do the same on Kovac. They get good players for 0 penny . Common Bayern, increase the salary for kovac and offload zickler, linke, liza, Hargreaves, kuffour.
We can reduce the wage bill this way. Also, ze robert is still complaining that the wage reduction is a bit much, so if he wants to leave, let him go and keep Hargreaves
